Clean

The Super 8 Hannibal was very clean and comfortable. I seldom find that the beds are soft enough to actually sleep on, but this was one of the best that I have found in a motel to date. Staff was nice and friendly and the free coffee was good. The TV worked adequately, as did the free wifi.

Plenty of food in area, and discount grocery down the street, as well, in case you have forgotten something.

Average Location

THe Hotel was average, the service was average, however, the price was right. The continental breakfast was just that; cereal, juice and bread. However, there is a great restaurant next door. The location and access to the town of Hannibal is very good. If you're looking to stay somewhere in town and save some money, then this is a good deal. Just remember, you're getting what you paid for; an inexpensive hotel.

There's a good Italian restaurant about 1/4 mile down Route 61 called Cassano's Pizza and Seafood.

Horrible place

The Filthiest motel I have ever stayed in. We arrived to a lobby that smelled like a brothel. Our room smelled like a cellar. All of us started having troubles with our sinuses. I went to the front desk to demand another room. We were taken to another room that didn't have the damp smell but smelled like a bowling alley. This place is a total dump. It hasn't been updated in years. The office staff seemed nice but had no teeth and lots of bad tatoos. Stay away from this place.

Not too bad, it's a go

Great location for downtown travels. Room was clean and shower pressure was awesome. The only negative thing was that our non-smoking room had smokey smelling sheets and the hallways also smelt of smoke. However, our room itself did not smell. Also don't expect a big breakfast. Only had cereal, toast, and muffins. Didn't even have fruit. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially after seeing other hotels in the city!

Just plain rude

I believe it was [...] who was watching TV and seemed so annoyed to help us check into our 2 rooms after a long day's drive. Very curt and unhelpful when we inquired about local attractions and the various rates at the motel. This Super 8 is located on a hill about a mile from the old part of Hannibal, near the freeway so it was neither particularly quaint nor convenient. We paid 54.00 per night but she informed us that it could have been 48.00 per night if we hadn't pre-paid through [...] and, no, we could not have the 48.00 dollar rate. We had been travelling through the Mississippi heartland for about a week and had only met friendly helpful people so this experience came as kind of a shock. She ignored us to the point of icyness during the rest of our one night (of course) stay. The following morning the staff was once again courteous. Hannibal itself was a disapppointment but go check it out for yourself.

The rooms were very adequate and clean. The staff members were courteous and helpful. The breakfast was the usual cereal, toast, muffins, orange juice and milk, but okay.

The good, the bad , and the really ugly

The hotel looked very good when we arrived and the lobby looked good. The Hallway was so filled with smoke we could hardly breathe. We complained about the smoke and She just said "Well, there are smoking rooms on that floor as well as non-smoking. We had to keep the Fan Vents on just to keep the smell of smoke out of the room. It was awful. The rooms had soap papers in the floor. And the Bed was not comfortable. The Breakfast bar was not very good and only space for three tables. I would not stay there again.
