Very Friendly and Helpful Staff
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The Customer Service provided by the staff was top notch. We booked our reservations through Orbitz, for two rooms at the Cape Girardeau Drury Lodge, and there was a problem with one of the reservations. The front desk immediately contacted their Orbitz representative, and resolved the issue. The hotel provided a hot snacks and beverages in the evening, and a delicious hot breakfast buffet for its guests. Everyone was extremely friendly, and put in the extra effort, to ensure our needs were met.

I went to Cape Girardeau to visit my daughter who attends the university there. The desk clerk and the restaurant clerk were both extremely friendly. The cost of this room was affordable. The room was ok, it was a little dated but clean. The bathroom was small but also clean. We loved the snack at 6 p.m. and also took advantage of the free breakfast the next morning. Unfortunately, my 'neighbors' came in at 10 p.m. and were very loud up until 2 a.m. Next time I will call the front desk.

A pleasant lodge
My partner and I stayed at this hotel on our way back from a vacation at the Gulf of Mexico. After driving for eleven hours straight, we were ready for some comfort. We got it. The big, old building certainly had a lodge feel: animal heads mounted on the wall, dark colors, and open spaces. The staff was very pleasant and did not question the fact that we had reservations for a room with a king-sized bed (always nice for the LGBTQI traveler). The front desk helped us find a place to deliver us pizza. The bed was very comfortable, and the TV was nicer than ours at home. In the morning we enjoyed the hot breakfast, especially the delicous biscuits.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Emo's Pizza serves St. Louis style pizza, which was greatly disappointing to us, who are used to Chicago style. St. Louis style has thin crust, a lot of sauce, and very little cheese. The breadsticks were yummy, though.

Too much money for the room
We were there to attend my 50th high school reunion. We liked the breakfast very much, and the free drink tickets was a nice touch. The staff was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The location was convenient. The bathroom sink stopper did not work; therefore the water ran very slowly out of the sink.

"Fantastic travel package"
I would have enjoyed an indoor pool and spa, but snacks and drink at the bar made up for the lack of pool.

Great price with lots of extras!
When I walked into the Drury Lodge, I was quite impressed with the lobby. We checked in during a snow storm and the warmth from the stonefront fireplace was quite welcoming. Upon arrival, we were given two coupons for complimentary cocktails at the hotel bar. In addition, a popcorn cart was parked near the staircase that offered fresh popcorn for free between 3 and 10 p.m. When we checked into our first room, it was quite a distance from the lobby. We went through two sets of hallways and doors and found that we were next to an exterior glass door that lead straight to the parking lot. This did not seem very safe to us. This coupled with the low lighting in our room gave us an "eerie feeling" and prompted us to ask for a different location closer to the lobby. The staff member was able to get us a room closer to the front, which was much better. Don't mistake the furniture and decor in the rooms to be outdated. It is part of the "lodge" experience. The large dresser set has various sets of cabinets that conceal the mini-fridge and microwave. There is also a very nice 32" flat-screen TV that sits atop the dresser. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others--just remember to ask for a room near the lobby.
