A Pleasant Surprise
On a budget Nov 22, 2009
The Suites at Fall Creek are far enough off the main thoroughfare for a quiet evening and just close enough to be anywhere in ... under ten minutes. They gave us a great rate for a two-night stay for a little over $100 after tax. The facility is well lit (a plus) but with shades and no drapes it made the room too bright (a negative).

With a 3 year old son, the kitchen just makes sense. Went with a meal plan lined out in advance. Shopped like crazy at the grocery the first night, then was able to save $ by cooking meals our family would enjoy right in our kitchen.

Went to branson for a few days with some friends. Found a suite on [...]. The room was wonderful, clean with everything you ... could ever want. The staff was a bit less friendly than I am used to in Branson. And figuring out which building and room I was in was difficult and not explained well, but other than that everything was perfect.

they had NO reservations for us
marge Oct 12, 2009
When we arrived, they told us that we din not have any reservations with them, the girl at the desk was very rude. She told ... us that they were having a problem with the place flooding. She said that we were no where in her compture and that she was to busy to help. She told me that we could find somewhere else, because they could not help us....it was terrible, I did not know what to do, as I had booked 2 months in advance...we had a pet, and they said that pets would be welcome there, we had to look all around...could not find one to take pets, so we had to hide our dog at a place that did not allow them...the experience was a diaster....If this matter can not be solved, I will never book through you again, and I will tell others not to bother either.....please let me know ASAP how you plan on handling this matter!

VERY clean. ONLY complaint is that the bedrooms are apparently stacked above one another and in the middle of the night, the ... floor above was loud and creaky when someone else went to the bathroom. Sound deadening is apparently none existent. However, everything else was excellent. well appointed rooms, plenty of towels, etc.

Paper thin walls
"likes their sleep" Oct 8, 2009
The 4 elderly female travelers next door were not necessarily too loud, except to say they were unaware that the walls being ... so thin, every word said was heard as if only a curtain was pulled between us. We almost weren't able to go to sleep until finally after 11:30pm I pounded on the wall. They got quieter but still the construction of the building we were in did not insulate the sound as we expected it to.

I was disappointed that there wasn't maid services every day, it wasn't a big deal, but it would have been nice. If you ... wanted coffee you had to purchase it at the lobby, put a $10 deposit for each pool towel you used and wi-fi wireless internet was available but you had to pay a daily fee to use it. Seriously?! Also, my husband and I tried to go down to the "river front" but we couldn't get down there due to construction. That would have been nice to know. We also had trouble sleeping because the bed was hard. What does the charge for the room include?

We went to the Bass Pro downtown and decided to walk the strip, it was beautiful. There was a water and light show, tons of shopping and a safe place to be.

Be sure to get a City Map and when you see traffic backing up on the main road through Branson take the alternate Yellow or Blue routes.
--Pam, Lewisville, TX Sep 14, 2009
Get a map of the area and learn where the by-pass roads are, so you stay off the main road. During the tourist season, it is bumper-to-bumper traffic. The by-pass roads are routes named by colors.

When it comes to vacationing, you cannot beat a timeshare. The tiny extra you spend on the apartment, is well made up in food savings. We always just eat in. We went out to eat twice the whole trip putting our dining costs at only $46. And that is for a family of 5 (with 4 boys). An added bonus, you know you're family is eating healthy.
