Still Waters in winter

First of all, we stayed at Still Waters during the New Year holidays, so our experience was quite limited. Great location, close to Branson and on the lake. There were two couples in our party and that made it a bit unusual as I understand it is targeted mostly to single families. The Luxury suite has a gas fireplace and a whirlpool tub, both on short timers. Having a whirlpool tub as part of one of the bedrooms has made it a bit uncomfortable for the other party to use it as it required them to walk through our bedroom. Otherwise, clean and comfortable. Usual checkout time is 10:00 AM, but we were allowed to leave at 11:00 as the resort was closing for several weeks. Due to the season, we could not visit the swimming pool facilities, but from what we could see, it could be fun being there.

we had a good time at Chateau at the Lake New Year party. Liverpool Legends have given us some good time recollecting the Beatles experience. They run a show at Branson at other time

Surrounding lake worth the remote location

Staff excellent. Hot tub excellent! Standard room-adequate, firm mattresses. Best to upgrade if given option, otherwise location is amazing nature!

what????

My key card did not work and I did not find this out until 11 pm. I was told it was a good thing that I found out because they were leaving anyway...and that I would have been up a creek if I had not found out at that time. It was not my fault that the key did not work. The maintenance man said there needed to be a new battery installed. Had I not gotten in , there would have been some serious yelling the next morning! Not a very good way to run a resort..not having a 24 hour staff. Not very good pr telling me I would have been out on the street.

Average resort with poor soundproofing

The Stillwater Resort is a fairly large complex of condos and hotel rooms located on a lake about 15 minutes from Branson. The facilities include a number of pools and free boat and bicycle rentals we did not use. I had booked a standard hotel room and when checking in asked what the room faced. A testy check in clerk told me that hotel rooms have NO VIEW. OK I get it. No need to get nasty. The room had two beds and a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The décor was dated with shag type carpet but the room was fairly spacious. The first night we had no problem with noise but the second night a couple moved in next door and you could hear them arguing, coughing and playing their television loudly. Not much soundproofing as others mentioned. The other problem was the vertical blinds that did nothing to block the light. What were they thinking? If returning to Branson I would not stay at the Stillwater. The drive is long and dark from town and unless you have kids who want to use all the amenities, or have a large group, it offers no advantages. I did get an excellent rate through Orbitz and was happy with the price paid

Great Location, Good Service

For a quick weekend that included a trip to Silver Dollar City and a trip to the Branson Landing, this resort/hotel was a wonderful value that also allowed for minimal time spent in traffic on the strip.

Would love to do it again!

Very pleasant stay, especially good if you plan to visit Silver Dollar City. The room was very clean and it was quiet. We have no complaints at all and we would like to do it again sometime. Perhaps next time we can rent a couple full condos and bring our grown kids and their families with us. Overall, this was probably the best deal we have ever gotten for a room in Branson. We were very pleased.

The Golden Corral in Branson is hard to beat at meal time. As for shows; the Brett Family morning show was excellent! One final thought, October is an excellent time to go because there was much less traffic.

Could be better

Everything was fairly nice. My husband and I loved the big hot tub and the hammocks. The only thing I didnt like was the beds were extremely hard so we didnt get much sleep and around the toilet was dirty which grossed me out. Also, on the bathroom door it looked like something threw food at it and it was never cleaned off because there was still pieces of food on the door. The staff was nice besides the marina staff.... My Husband and I wanted to do the different amenities there so I wish they would of greeted us and told us what to do instead of trying to figure things out by ourselves.

Anniversary Trip of Awesome

First up, I want to warn you: If you want some one to come in and clean your room everyday, make the bed, clean the tub, etc. you are in the WRONG place. They do not offer daily maid service as they do have mostly condos on property, but if you can deal with taking out your own trash and swapping your towels out, then Stillwaters is GREAT! The hubby and I stayed here for 3 nights in one of their standard hotel rooms. The room was nicely sized, the bathroom HUGE and we loved the microwave and mini fridge! The location is quiet and right off Tablerock Lake. It is a bit of a drive from the main part of the strip but with 465 now open it's a short drive to get to anywhere. The grounds were well kept, the pools were clean and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! The food from the Bayside Market is FANTASTIC! The garlic cheese bread is to DIE for! The one and only complaint I have is that I like too keep my room super chilly...and the AC unit in the room wasn't quite doing it. Other than that, Stillwaters get a great big huge thumbs up from us!!
