LESS THAN EXPECTED

WE HAD TWO ROOMS ONE OF THE ROOMS THE SHEETS ON ONE BED LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD BEEN SLEPT IN AND NOT CHANGED. IT WAS REPORTED TO THE MANAGER. THE BREAKFAST WAS OKAY, NOTHING SPECIAL.

Not quite what we expected

this hotel was not as described in the brochure. it was majorly run down they were starting to rebuild some of the upper buildings but the ones we were in were very poor in condition and location on the property. I would look around a little more as there are lots to choise from in this town.

Right Smack in the Thick of it All

My kids and I just returned from a week long stay at this hotel.... It was located right on 76 in the thick of it all. I will say yes maybe the grounds were a bit of a mess and staff was not up to par due to the tornado. I booked on line but I also called to check on damage and if pool was open and such. They recovered that pool quickly as far as I was concerned and have been doing awesome fixing up the rest. Yes my room did not get cleaned like a 5 star hotel that was not hit by a tornado (that touched down 5 times in the same area on the same day) but it was fine and when I needed anything the staff was right there to accommodate me right away. The only issue I had was no fault to the staff but the inconsiderate workers trying to make repairs....they started working at 5am (way to early) and then when they were using power washers they were not even considerate enough to turn them off while customers passed by so you not only had to walk in the muddy puddles they were making you also got squirted with the nasty splashing they were shooting around. The hotel staff once notified quickly took care of those workers and they were better from then on. The entire week we were there we used the pool every day sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the evening we never had any issues. Breakfast was good food and plenty of it but with the special diet I am on due to my health none of what was served was anything I was able to eat. I let the manager know and they may be serving some eggs and other foods soon. The entire time from check in to check out we felt welcome and as if family. The manager and other staff were always close by and always willing to help and quickly remedy any issues. We will definitely stay there again and recommend them to others. We will be praying for a complete recovery for them from the tornado along with recovering a complete staff. We pray for continued success for them. Thanks

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If you go in the high season when traffic is heavy this place is centrally located and you can walk to several shows and places to shop and eat.

Great Value

It was a good room and friendly service. The breakfast could have been better. Gravy wasn't very good. Doughnuts were pretty good. Milk and orange juice was watered down. The pool was pretty and it was a quiet room. A/C worked great! Beds were hard. TV was small. It was over all ok for a night!

An okay place to lay your head

This season our family has Silver Dollar City and White Water Season passes. So, we thought, living an hour and a half away -- we would look for good, clean, cheaper hotels to stay a night -- so we wouldn't have to drive back home. A tank of gas is about what we'd spend on a hotel room (or so we thought) for these frequent trips. I went online, and of course, didn't reserve my hotel room quick enough for the Memorial Day holiday weekend, but found this Hall of Fame Hotel to be reasonable ($61 for one night). We thought we'd try it just to say we tried it. We paid online, check in was smooth, they had our reservation ready and room keys, manager was nice, showed us where to park and where to get breakfast the next morning. As we pulled down the hill -- immediately we noticed lots of tornado damage still present. We realize the tornado just happened this spring, so that didn't bother us. (we live near Joplin, MO, so seeing tornado damage isn't new to us) It would have been nice if the hotel would have reported online that the pool was still out of commission -- that was one thing we thought we'd do in the evening after dinner. We opened our room -- seemed okay, a little dated on the decor. AC worked, albeit it was a window unit. We had to ask for more towels, family of 4 with 3 towels, 1 washcloth. Stains in the sink, cobwebs at the lights above the sink -- but bathroom, toilet, and shower was clean. Sheets were clean. Towels smelled fresh. Carpet was stained, but vacuumed. I slept in earplugs due to the noise of the AC, and people around us -- but that is something I have to do anytime I'm in a hotel room. Husband slept fine, and kids slept fine too. Our boy ended up sick from our trip to Silver Dollar City, so we did not head to White Water the following day. We checked out in the morning a few hours prior to the check out time. We did not eat the breakfast, as he was sick and we needed to get home. So I cannot give any feedback about the breakfast offered. Check out was smooth and friendly. Again, a place to lay our head after a day at Silver Dollar City, but we probably wont be staying on the cheapest end of our budget next time we come. I think we will budget up a few more dollars to stay in a better hotel.

Great stay for price

The front desk was super clean, the rooms were super clean. The outside was a bit messy, due to tornado debris, but building was deemed structurally sound, so no worries there. Was a great room, quiet, easy to find, and most of all...CLEAN! Great deal!

Pet Hotel

Its great having a hotel on the strip that allows pets. We had a nice time chatting with other pet owners. I think if the hotel would clean up and fence the back of the property it would serve as a nice area to walk dogs. Just an idea...

Fantastic getaway

My family and I had the best time. The room was great the staff couldn't be any more helpful. The breakfast was so incredible I couldn't believe everything they offered. Joe, Dave and Josh what a service they provided helpful and considerate. We could not of received better service any where else. Love this place.
