Nice and Roomy
The room was great. Very roomy and clean. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The only thing negative that I seen was the dust along the trim and carpeting in the hallway. They should spend a little time with a Norwex cloth and a vaccuum to clean those corners.

The hotel was a close to the Green Mill, a liquor store, gas station, and Fleet Farm. It is also just a few miles from Winona State.

Mediocre
It was just okay and a bit overpriced compared to comparable hotels. I will probably try elsewhere next time I'm in Winona. I prefer a room that has a sink separate from the shower room so 2 people can get ready at the same time, which this hotel did not have. Thin walls - the TV next door kept us awake until 1am. They told us at check-in that they started serving breakfast at 6am, but it started at 6:30, which wouldn't be a big deal except we had to leave by 6:20 and hadn't allowed time to stop at a restaurant and therefore didn't get breakfast.

Great Hotel
I had never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express prior to this trip. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Holiday Inn Express in Winona, MN. I stayed in a Standard King room. The room is very modern and well thought-out. The room allowed me to really kick back and relax. The comfortable bed allowed me the best night of sleep I've had in months. The bathroom was large and had a flat screen television in it. The main room also had a large flat screen television. The room also had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and bar-sink. The continental breakfast had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, cereal, milk, juice, coffee and cinnamon rolls. I didn't have a chance to use the pool area at all, but it looked very inviting and had a kiddie pool with a slide. Dinner at the Green Mill next door was very pleasant.

Great stay!
The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The kids really enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was delicious with choices for every taste! The only problem we encountered was that the room was very warm and we couldn't seem to get it to cool down with the A/C or fan system.

Overworked and Undertraveled
Great Location!
This hotel turned out to be a fabulous choice. The location is easy highway access, the staff was very personable and professional. The rooms are wonderfully appointed (even flat screens in the bathrooms!), and the beds are incredibly comfortable. I really appreciated the lack of the cheesy (probably filthy) comforter that one usually finds in a hotel room - instead, these beds had a chic arrangement of two top sheet with a comforter between so that you knew your bedding was freshly laundered. How thoughtful!!! The pool area was very nice with ample room for both adults and the few children that we saw when were were there. The cost was modest, and compared to other hotel stays, a steal for the quality of the accommodations.

Happy with hotel
This is the 2nd time I stayed there. My son is attending Winona State and it is very convenient to the campus. The rooms are new and very clean.
