great hotel

Went to the St Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Opera. Fine music! And really good restaurants within 2 blocks: Meritage, PazzaLuna, Mickey's Diner (a 24 h dive), and the restaurants in the St Paul Hotel. Museums and The Schubert Club instrument collection and the Woodturner's Exhibit Hall right across the street. Only downside was that there were no freebies--tips got to be expensive for parking; no free morning coffee (but the purchased coffee was delicious).

A+

A+ all the way. We had never stayed @ The Saint Paul, but plan to make it an annual trip. P.S. Be sure to ask for turn-down service--nice touch.

Wedding night at St.Paul Hotel

We booked this hotel for our son and his bride on their wedding night. They said that staff was very friendly congratulating them on their marriage as they entered in their wedding garb. The best was that they were given a free upgrade to the Admirals Suite!!! Midwestern friendliness sure is evident at this beautiful hotel--no stuffiness here. They had room service for breakfast that was delicious and reasonably priced.

great weekend

This is the second time my daughter and I stayed at the St. Paul Hotel. Both times the staff and hotel as a whole were wonderful. My daughter is now going to school in St. Paul and when we go back to visit we will definitely stay at the St. Paul Hotel.

Midwest Elegance

We were in town for a wedding. The hotel was elegant and comfortable. We sat in the lobby having drinks and talking until the wee hours of the morning. The next morning we had breakfast at the restaurant on the lower level, were the brunch was an excellent value. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Valet parking with in and out privileges was prompt and efficient. However, the hotel did not have some amenities that many lesser price hotels provide, such as complimentary coffee/tea. The mini-bar was also so well stocked that there was no room for even the smallest item to be refrigerated.
