Great Location!
We stay at Embassy Suites everywhere we go. This property was clean. The staff was competent and friendly. Only problem: there was a wedding reception and we were unable to park in the lot when we returned to the hotel after dinner at a local restaurant. It seems like hotel guests should have priority for parking lot spaces.

Skip The Cheesecake Factory in Edina. Long wait for ordinary food and mediocre cheesecake.

Completely exceeded my expectations.
It is a long time since I have had such an enjoyable stay at a hotel. The staff were more than courteous, they went out of their way to be helpful....and I am talking about the staff behind the counter, the janitor, the room service. They offered reasonably priced parking, happy hour, free Internet, reasonably priced restaurant ( including room service) and the two room suites are not luxurious.....just really comfortable. I stayed two nights. The Friday evening was pretty quite and the pool was very inviting. Saturday night was full of families and partying crowds. No swimming for me, but at no time did I feel I could not relax. Just so enjoyable.

Nice
Tried out the pool and hot tub. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. Maintenance helped out at no charge when the girlfriend dropped her necklace down the sink. Will definitely stay again.

A Concert, A Room and More
We came to St. Paul for a concert and a get away. We ended up doing both with relatively no stress at all. Great beds, great room, very clean. Friendly staff with great breakfast, super with any and all help required!! After we were an hour down the road we realized we left some vital items in the room. A call to the hotel and a quick turnaround later, we were on our way back. An hour later we only had to go to the front desk as our items were there safely waiting for us. It saved us a few of the minutes we had already lost. We were grateful and will ONLY stay at this establishment on any future trips to St. Paul!!! Shuttle service is very very useful to get about as well!!!

A little disappointed
Not worth $120/night. I had been to this hotel a number of years ago and really liked it. This time I was disappointed. Nothing has been updated in quite a while. The bathroom had a little mold where the caulk needed replacing; the wood drawers, cabinets in the kitchen area looked very warn and dirty, we had to tell housekeeping where cobwebs needed to be removed and we always had to ask for additional towels (after the first day we only received two) The carpet had no softness left to it and felt dirty. There was a nice bay window with a seat, but the white painted wood was so scratched and unkept, it felt dirty as well. The breakfasts are still good and the chefs cooking did an excellent job even with the large number of people on New Year's morning. They should offer better parking options for those visitors coming to the hotel to see guests. $5 for an hour visit is excessive. Pool and hot tub need staff to clean it overnight. After people were in it at night, there was grime and goo on the surface of the water. Pool opens at 6:30 a.m. Told us staff not in until after 7:30 p.m.

St. Paul Embassy Suites -- Perfect Hotel
The Embassy is a beautiful Spanish-style hotel with a stunning 8-story atrium and a lobby featuring a waterful and real ducks... The staff and accomodations were excellent, and included a free "full breakfast" and a free "Happy Hour" drinks. The location is convenient to the Interstates -- but on the edge of downtown & not near stores. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The least sleep we ever had
The first night we heard a constant banging the whole night every 30-40 seconds called a reported it nothing was done. We had to leave very early when we returned the banging was still going on so we requested a room change. It was a very unenjoyable stay.

Wonderful time!
Everyone working at the hotel was so friendly and helpful. They told us about affordable parking nearby, gave us directions to attractions we wanted to see and even recommended two great restaurants in walking distance. When you enter the hotel you will see how spectacular it is. The decor is very impressive and i was pleasantly surprised to hear about the free snacks each evening and complimentary breakfasts cooked to order. The pool was a little crowded during the day but I waited until the adult hours and found it very relaxing. I would love to stay at this hotel again!

Money-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
There is a parking lot right next to the hotel's parking lot that is only $2 a night compared to the hotel's $10 a day fee.

What a pleasure!
From check-in to check-out, our stay was worry-free and most enjoyable. Room to visit with other family members from the wedding party. Wonderful breakfast and Manager's happy hour. The desk staff was superb--not situation they could not handle.
