Days Inn St. Paul-Minneapolis-Midway

Was looking for a reasonably priced option for a quick one night stay. The price was definitely reasonable, but I could have (and have previously) found a MUCH better deal for the same price in the area. The room was filthy- we had a question for the front desk and tried to use the phone to call. The buttons on the phone were so filthy/sticky tht you couldn't even press them down! There was old coffee in the room's coffee pot, the room was very smelly (almost like garbage), there was a gigantic brown stain on the Side if the bed (box springs), the table was dirty. By far the worst hotel I've stayed at in many, many years. Horrible!!

This place is not in the best neighborhood, but the last time I stayed here, I felt pretty safe and it is close to my relatives. This time, I'm sure I saw a woman of the night standing outside one of the doors in the back when I pulled up. It's noisy and the multiple security doors you have to navigate with luggage make entrance difficult. Hallways are institutional and narrow. I won't stay here again.

I wasn't expecting much, but economics and location made me choose this hotel. Originally booked for one night as I expected to need to find better digs when I got to our destination. Not so, extended stay for all the time we were in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Maybe its new or they just did a refurbishing but everything was immaculate and everything worked!Only problem was parking, Saturday night, the parking lot was full and I had to park in the lot of an adjoining factory. Front desk assured me that this would be OK as it was a Sat night and the factory wasn't operating. Left unsaid is what would happen when they are full during the week.

Very old hotel -- thought the "Days Inns" were more modern. Our room was right outside a door where the parking lot was, where we could never open our window - otherwise, everyone coming and going could see in. There was NO sound proofing; heard every word, footsteps, above or next to us. Leftover coffee in coffee pot was never emptied/cleaned nor were the coffee packets removed. Bed was made nicely each day; and bathroom cleaned - but noticed black mark near bathtub under sink (mold???). Bar at the front - near midnight - 4 people out front swearing, talking loudly, didn't feel very safe. Will not return to this particular hotel ever!!

It was "o.k." Loud doors slamming, and coffee real bad. But.....the BEST swimming pool EVER! Clean and water temp. perfect!

The walls were paper thin and we could hear someones tv all night long. Rooms were smokey smelling. Ineternet was too slow. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked.

Perfect for the price. Very comfortable & close to where we needed to be.

We were going to a wedding by St. Thomas and this was as close as we could stay. The staff were all very kind. The rooms didn't look like they had been updated since 1992. The neighborhood was also somewhat sketchy, but our car was safe the entire night. Free parking also!

The hotel met all my expectations. I have no criticism. We used the pool and the hot tub as well, and they were satisfactory. There are smoking rooms, so expect a slight smell of smoke in the hallway. There is a restaurant/bar attached, so expect a few late night patrons at the bar.

The place was decent; however down the hall you could smell smoke from the rooms that are for smoking. You could also here everything that is going on in the halls with the cleaning crew and other visitors (noisy). Overall, it was decent and i did enjoy my stay.
