Excellent Experience
The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and quiet. Situated right off the interstate for easy access to St. Paul and the east suburbs. We stayed here while house-hunting in the area and were very pleased with the location and amenities.

Excellent value for the money
My first experience at this hotel was not good because of the noisy room I could not get out of. This is my third stay. The last two stays have been very good. I love the location in that it is about 4-5 miles from the big Maplewood Mall (White Bear Road) and yet there is also a small mall just acrooss the overpass from the hotel.

This is the place to go
This was big improvement from the last time I was at this location. Last time, traffic noise filled the room I was given and the hallway had noisy people (mostly preteens in the late evening. The breakfasts were buffet style and with hot selections. The location is right by the highway exit. It is also across from shopping mall. I am definitely coming back.

There is a movie theater 5 miles N on 35E at Exit J. There also shopping there. There are 4 sports bars within a mile from the hotel-Jimmy's, Mad Jack's, Sak's, and Stadium. At the Stadium, there is a ball field next so you can watch a live game on Wednesdays and other nights.

P-O'd and ready to sue
Worst Experience Ever.
Never booking a Carlson property with Orbitz again. No room guarantee policy of this hotel is unacceptable. When I book and PREPAY for a Non-Smoking room I want a Non-Smoking room. When I book and PREPAY a double queen room I want a double queen room not a single king room. When I book and PREPAY for 4 nights I want to stay in the same room all 4 nights not move from room to room every day.

Dont book this hotel, stay at the Holiday Inn express around the corner, at least you will get what what you paid for. I only gave them 1 star because I couldnt give them zero stars.
