Sleepless in Saint Paul
The walls are too thin. Could hear every little noise from the pool (why is the pool open so early?), to the noise next door, to the noise outside the hallway. At one point, had housecleaning knock on our door before check-out. We were terribly tired and could not get the sleep we needed. There was also a rotten smell in the room.

Thanksgiving Hospitality
Despite a really late-night arrival and a full hotel, Reception managed to accommodate my request not to be on the ground floor. My very quiet courtyard-facing room could have used more lamps since there wasn't an outside window. Breakfast was hearty, including the best oatmeal ever served at a motel buffet. Staff was uniformly friendly. Overall, far superior to any other offerings in the Universities area.

Grand Avenue presents a delightful alternative to the homogenized retail glut at Mall of the Americas. Small, locally-owned shops and restaurants offer high quality, reasonable prices, personal attention and CALM.

quiet and comfortable
My stay for 2 nights was pleasant for the most part. The room was quite clean in the bed and was comfortable. There were no extra noises. It was not very busy. The building itself is quite interesting. The breakfast was welcome, though rather stereotypical for this kind of hotel. It was hard to figure out where to Park when I arrived rather late at night. I think this could be marked better. The exercise suite included a dysfunctional elliptical and an old treadmill. This requires some updating.

Lot of fun will stay there again
Good clean rooms and the staff was very helpful. Ruth the lady in charge of there breakfast area was the best. Will stay there again.

What a quaint hotel
Plenty of room...2 queens and a sleeper sofa. Breakfast was delicious...plenty of choices and Ruth was very friendly. The location was convenient (a short drive) to the Mall of America and Target Field...GO TIGERS. Only negative was that we always needed to ask for more towels.

BW Bandana Square
My client and myself enjoyed our stay at the Bandana Square. Impressive utilition of old RR and country/airy feeling. Exceptional accomodation. Clean and quiet, depending on where you are from the centrally located. pool. Breakfast offered a wide variety. Everyone friendly.

Comfortable and Convenient
Hotel was very nice. I would stay here again. We used the pool and hot tub. I took advantage of the internet availability. The complimentary breakfast was great. The addition of a restaurant would be welcome.

Perfectly fine for the price
We did not spend much time there. Modest continental buffet breakfast and room cleaned nicely each day.
