2nd chance

We had tried the travelodge before and were very disappointed, so disappointed in fact, I swore I would not book there again. But the rate is within our budget, so we tried them again. Things were better this time. We will check with them the next time we travel to Shakopee in the spring.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

The only good thing about this place is the price. But when they say you pay for what you get, they are not kidding. Entire place smells of smoke. Non smoking room smells of smoke. Comforters and blankets had burn holes. Carpet in the hallways was loose and wrinkled. We stayed here because it was close to Valleyfair but we will be more than glad to pay more for a cleaner and better room. If all you care about is price this is for you. Otherwise, RUN!

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Valleyfair or ValleyScare is an awesome time. The entire park and staff are dressed for halloween. Day hours are great for the little kids and night time is for the older. If you are weak of heart stay away because they will scare you. We have been coming back now for the past 3 years and will continue to do so.

No handsoap or shampoo, but plenty of towels

They still allow smoking in this hotel and you can sure smell it. The room was small but adequate for adults who just need a bed to sleep on, but nothing more than that. There was no soap, shampoo, conditioner or any bathing cleaning items in the room, which I found very odd. The service is okay and it was mostly quiet in our room.

Decent for a good price

Very comfortable beds, refrigerator and microwave in room, great price and location, pleasant front desk staff. If you don't need anything really fancy and just want a nice, clean place to stay for a decent price, it's great. The maids forgot to make our beds the 2nd day, but no big deal.

Thin walls ; )

Do not bring your family! Its a guarantee you will hear someone "rockin the bed" at some point during the night. (but nowadays when dont you hear this ha ha) But its a great price! A hotel with 1.smoking 2.a fridge 3. 2 comfortable beds 4.a safe 5.a microwave 6. free HBO 7.Free WIFI 8. free continental breakfast. all for $60! Im a man of functionality, not appearance, without the pool it functions as a 4&1/2 star hotel and with appearance it functions as a 2 star. Its really close to mystic lake casino, valleyfair, and Canterbury park also.

Satisfactory

curt prompt service, breakfast with fresh waffles, 2 chpoices of cereal, muffins, or stale danish. Terrible juice, coffee OK. Rooms fine with table. Cable hookup terrible (slow satellite??) with few channels. Relatively clean. Free WiFi with easy hookup (no password needed).

Good price for what you get

Stayed after attending the Renaissance Fair. Good location and good price if all you want to do is sleep. Free breakfast was nice - we all enjoyed the waffles. Rooms could use some freshening up but bed was very comfortable.

you get what you pay for

This hotel is minutes from attractions, however if we ever go again we will drive a couple extra miles. The rooms are very modest and not very clean. The coffee is only available in the a.m. The pillows are terrible. This is a great place to stay if your not picky.
