Canterbury Inn
The matress in the room this time was awful. The bed sheets did not fit the matress and we woke up sleeping on the matress. ... When I turned back the covers on my bed, the sheet and matress pad was crumpled up like someone already slept in it. so, I had to make the bed and then by morning it was un-made again. Also the floor in the bathroom was dirty looking and mold spot in and around the tub. The room very much needed an update. I had stayed at this hotel a month ago and the expieriance was so much different. It was clean and beds were nice. what a huge difference. [...]

Just alright, they tried to double bill me. I had paid for the room online here at orbits, and then they tried to bill me at ... the hotel. The front desk personnel messed something up when I was checking in.

Stay away from this place
The Canterbury Inn in Shokopee was by far my worst hotel experience. The door to our room was either left ajar or unlocked ... by the housekeeping staff every day that we stayed there (6 nights). Voicing our concerns to the front desk staff was a waste of breath. Nothing was done to correct the problem. All we could do was make sure we took all of our valuables with us when we left the room. Upon checkout, we were charged a $3.00 per day utility fee. We were not informed of the fee when we checked in.

LOVED the linens!!!
Check in was easy and friendly. We had a poolside room which was very nice. The beds had down (or down-like) comforters in ... white. They were very comfortable and very rich looking. The only problem was that our AC/heating unit was broken. The room next to us had a problem with burning freon during the night, so we had this awful smell in our room. And our unit didn't work, so it felt like a sauna in our room. The front desk couldn't/didn't help that night. However, the morning staff was VERY helpful and had a maintenance man there within minutes of notification. We were quickly moved to another poolside room with a working unit. Too bad the desk clerk the night before didn't do that. Other than that one bad thing, the hotel itself was very nice and everyone was quite friendly. We would definitely go there again.

Good value for money
For the price we paid for this hotel room, it was a great value. With a pool and two hot tubs, it was great not having to ... worry if there were kids in one, because you could use the other. I also liked how the rooms opened onto the pool area.

very family friendly
The room was so cozy. The bed was huge and comfortable, I love the white down comforters. Almost all rooms are poolside ... which is so convenient. The breakfast was very good and fresh. I think some sort of specialty item for breakfast would make it better, maybe waffles, iced donuts/rolls, etc. The bathroom was excellent with large counter. I would make the lighting in the bathroom better. The staff was so kind & helpful. We can't wait to stay there again very soon.
