Super 8 St. Cloud

The rooms were very dirty. The carpets were stained. The rugs were filthy around the walls and under the desk. Heating and cooling didn't work properly. When I opened the control panel the knob fell off. When I turned the unit off it still kicked in periodically.. I am leery about staying at another Super 8, which I will be doing on a bus trip to pueblo, co.

On entering the lobby, one first notices that the windows are hazy with dirt except for an oval in the middle that had been cleaned. The halls had a pervasive smell of smoke and the non-smoking room we were assigned had an unpleasant nondescript odor. The carpets were heavily stained and did not look clean. The bed pillows seemed to consist of a rectangular 1 inch thick piece of foam covered by a pillow case. The bed itself produced a chorus of snapping springs when ever my wife or I rolled over. The old television was grainy and the remote did not work. The shower consisted of two settings: needles and mist. The corners around the sink were covered with grime. Although we had a two night non-refundable reservation, we checked out the next morning and moved to a different motel down the street. (The one positive is that the desk staff were always polite.) I had assumed that motel chains maintained a certain level of standards - this was not an exceptionally inexpensive room. It was, however, one of the worst experiences my wife or I have had in over 30 years of traveling. We do not plan to ever stay at this motel chain again.

We were to have a king bed...did not get that but was 2 queen. The room was disgusting...the worst place I have ever stayed! It smelled SO BAD that we didn't even want to spend the night there but had no choice as had paid for it and was not anything around that was available!!! What a waste of our money when we were looking forward to a comfortable stay. This place should not be even on your list of favorable places to stay!

[...] Rooms were dirty and hot. A/C was not very effective. Everything, and I mean everything, was tired and needed updating. Breakfast room was cramped and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel for any type of stay. I will say the staff that received us tried the best with what they were authorized to do...

Overall, the hotel needs a good cleaning. Hallways smell of smoke, damp. Lobby is very dingy. Bathroom was good, room furniture was dirty. Fine for a 1 night visit...glad I didn't pay much more for the room.

somehow I accidentally clicked for the wrong month. They were very gracious to change the date and not charge me for it. It was a busy weekend in St. Cloud and I was thankful to get a room. We had a king bed and it was lovely.

my kids xbox didnt work on the tv in the room so the freindly staff put us in a huge room i think a suite with a nice tv for free awsome!!

We paid less than what we were quoted! It was a great location, easy check in/check out. We were satisfied.

The hotel itself was nice ubt they need a new vacuum as they did vacuum because I actually saw them do it but it left alot of stuff on the floors. It is a very convient location

The Super 8 we stayed at in St Cloud was a very good place to stay. We were there to shop for Christmas and it was right in the middle of all the places we wanted to go. We didnt have to travel more than 4 blocks to get to all the stores we were looking for. Even tho it did not have in house dining, it was close enough to walk to. Would highly recommend it to anyone!!
