not a great experience
Booked two rooms non smoking got a call the night before our stay. They said we only had 1 non smoking and could only get a smoking room for our second room. With no time to get another room we had to take it. When I got to my room it smelled like they spilled a bottle of cheap perfume in the carpet. Not a good experience and I wont be back.

Just a night
Our experience was fine, nothing special. The pool could have been open a little later (we were kicked out a little after ten) and the staff a little friendlier. We had a non-smoking room right next to a smoking room and could smell smoke in the hallway, though luckily we couldn't smell it in our room. We appreciated the bar attached to the hotel, friendly and convenient. Slept well on comfortable beds. Good value if you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay for a night or two.

If you're looking for a good night's sleep and a good value, staying in a smaller town half an hour or so outside of a city is a great choice. Usually those hotels are more hospitable, as are the local establishments. You're also likely to find a cheaper, local hotel with more comfort and nicer people than a chain.

Satisfied for the Price
We had an event to attend in St. Cloud and knew we would only "sleep" at the hotel and not be spending much more time there other than to sleep. I was disappointed in the quality of the pillows but overall the room was clean and the staff members were friendly . We didn't use the pool although I did plan to use the Internet/biz center but didn't when I found out that was an additional charge! Overall considering we just spent 8 hrs at the facility most of which we slept through I was satisfied with the experience for the price we paid.

this hotel was listed at St. Cloud, but actually was in a town about 10 minutes out (clearview?). It was not listed correctly and did cause some driving back and forth to our location that was not anticipated. Other than that, it was suitable.

Good value
Ask for a non smoking room. We have stayed at this hotel once a year for an event in the area. The rooms are clean, the hot tub and pool is great the beds need updating but for the price it is a good value.

convenient location for visiting family
We visited family in St. Cloud. It was New Years Eve and there is a bar attached to this hotel so we did not have to drive. It was a nice hotel within our budget and all the staff was curtious and handled our requests in a timely manner. We will be back!

good hotel in small town
very good, except for the heating sensor in the room, the room was cold while the heater sensor read up to 88 F, i didnt bother my self to talk with receptionist, otherwise brought my small heater from the car, was a good night.

Rude staff! nasty room!horrible!
first the hotel is not 10 min away from st.cloud its more like 30 also this hotel is located in clearwater. the hotel staff was rude. when i arrived ther the building looks nothing like the pictures, its nasty,bad smell and dirty carpet and couches. for the price we were to pay its not worth it. i asked for my money back they had a horrible attitude and told me i have to stay one night in order to get my money back. the manager whose name i wish i could say is just outright disrespectful.i have a small child and an elderly grandmother and i refused to have my family stay the night there. i am from chicago and we made it there 10 min past check out and ive never seen anyone speak to a customer that way. she actually said the f word to me, but the only thing that prevented me from jumping over that counter was my child and the possibility of going to jail....all over a room. i stayed ther for an hour on the phone with [...] trying to have them cancel my room. luckily i had a wonderful rep who took very good care of me. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS HOTEL. not just because of my experience but because of the way it looks...do not be fooled by the pictures they put online. it does not look like that.

DO NOT waste your money
Do not waste your money @ this hotel .. the staff was unfriendly and rude to say the least .. after arriving @ the hotel I was informed that I can a maximum of ten people (youth basketball) for 2 rooms .. Five hours later, I was informed that I had to pay an extra $25 because it was 8 not 10 .. get this! the staff that told me that I could have 10, said to his manager that HE NEVER TOLD ME THAT (wow!!) .. The only thing this hotel has got going good is the pool and its location to the highway .. If not for the cold weather and the kids wanting to swim I would have vacated the premises ASAP .. and the rooms were freezing
