Everything you need and then some.
Convenient, new, secure, fresh, great breakfast (don't forget to oil the waffle-maker, though!), friendly attentive staff. 20 miles from MSP and close enough to anything in the Twin Cities.

Get yourself to Roseville Center, a new mall with an IMAX (and other) cinema and plenty of dining options, if you don't already have dinner plans.

Great Experience
The hotel is in a quiet residential area. If we had time, we would have taken a walk and felt very safe. Next time! We liked the easy access to nearby shopping and dining. It isn't within walking distance, but very little traffic getting there. The hotel is within 15 minutes of downtown Minneapolis. I have stayed in this area several times at a different hotel, but in the future I will be planning on making Fairfield Inn my choice.

The Fairfield Inn in ...
The Fairfield Inn in Roseville was very nice. Stayed there and a huge amount of Cross Country runners were trying to check in at the same time. The clerk was very courteous and helpful under the amount of people checking in at once. The continental breakfast was a good way to start the day!

The University of Minnesota Golf Course is close by. Friendly staff, great fall specials, excellent product for the price! Go Gophers!

Great clean room for a very reasonable price.
This was actually our second choice for hotels for this weekend trip, primarily due to location. Price wasn't really an issue. However, once checked in, we found the room to be in excellent condition, the staff very friendly, the general property upkeep to be very good, the continental breakfast above average for this type of hotel, and there was a swimming pool. Had we had the time, we would have brought our suits. In addition, the fact that the entire building is non-smoking really kept every quite fresh and nice. While not as convenient to our family as our first choice, we would probably go the extra one and a half miles to stay at the Fairfield Inn.

Inexpensive but a little noisy
The property was well maintained, the rooms in good condition, and the staff was friendly. My only real complaint would be noise. I could hear the TV of my neighbors through the walls as well as the conversations of people in the hallway through the door, so I scored it lower on room comfort. On the other hand, this hotel was cheaper . I'd be inclined to stay here again if it were for leisure, but if I were traveling on business I'd likely choose one of the other hotels.

The hotel offered a complimentary continental breakfast. There were no restaurants within easy walking distance, but a large shopping mall with plenty of dining was located within a 7-10 minute drive. These eateries are mostly fast-food chains to mid-scale establishments.

Good place for the money
If you are not looking for fancy hotels, but will not stay in ratholes, this is the place for you. Clean average room with everything a normal human being needs. With the money saved, go out and have a fancy dinner with your significant other in one of the many wonderful restaurants in the twin cities. In conclusion, you get what you paid for plus good service. Location is not the best, but there is no perfect happyness right?
