Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Roseville, MN

This was our fourth or fifth stay at this hotel(We've lost count). Even though this time the hotel was undergoing some renovations, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff is always cheerful and helpful, the beds and room furnishings are clean and comfortable, the location is close to all kinds of shopping, and yet the rooms are quiet. There is a pool, which our granddaughter enjoys. We will be back the next time we're in Minneapolis.

Clean room but bed was too hard and the A/C was noisy.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the receptionist was very nice and friendly. There was some construction out front (not the hotel's fault), so I had to do some driving in an unfamiliar area to find the hotel. My room was also next to the electrical/mechanical room. Periodically, this very loud rattle would fill my room. I'd stay there again, but I'd ask for a different room.

This is the second time we have used this hotel for our Thanksgiving visit to family in Minneapolis. Our granddaughter loves the pool! Country Inn and Suites isn't fancy, but it has a comfortable family feel. The beds are comfortable, pillows and bedding are great, refrigerator and microwave are convenient, and the room was a good size. The only problem with the room we had this year was that the HVAC unit didn't keep the room at a uniform temperature. It was either too warm or too cool. Having a good restaurant on the premises is convenient; however, the complimentary breakfast is very adequate. There is lots of shopping nearby, Interstate 35W is close (but not too close) and downtown Minneapolis is 15 minutes away. We will stay here again.

We were in town for family reasons and were looking for a reasonable, yet clean & comfortable place to sleep. This was exactly that and we were pleased with this hotel. The pool, exercise room, etc were small but we mostly wanted a good night's sleep and the breakfast buffet was very nice also. Family friendly. The attached restaurant closed rather early so not much to do but it was comfortable.

I chose Country Inn & Suites in Roseville because of it's location. My daughter is beginning law school at Hamline University and there are very few nearby hotels. I liked being on Snelling Avenue because it is easy to get on and off I-94 and is a short drive to Hamline. Even though there is road construction at this time, the detour was simple and quick. The rooms were pleasant and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the area felt safe. I will stay here everytime I visit my daughter during the school year.

If you have any kind of allergy or chemical sensitivity, do not stay here. Every room is sprayed with a floral air freshener unless you make a request not to have it sprayed at the time of check-in. It was supposed to be a pet-free facility, but the room next door brought their barking dog in at 1:30 a.m. Blankets on bed were dirty and the air conditioning did not have the adjustment knob. Although the front desk staff was friendly, it did not make up for the terrible experience. We cut our trip short and stayed only one night.

The Country Inn and Suites in Roseville, MN was just what we were looking for to stay near family for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was convenient to family homes, shopping, and restaurants. It had a pool for the granddaughter. It was well kept, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was better than average, and the presence of Pippins Restaurant on site was a great plus.
