I thought this would be no frills for a visit to Mayo, but safe and clean and the pool is a nice addition. The hotel is old and smells and really isn't clean. The bed is THE WORST MATTRESS I have ever slept on -- no padding, springs everywhere, threadbare sheets. The breakfast is nothing much. The pool cannot outweigh the terrible mattress and marginal cleanliness.

a bit out of the way but a fair price
other than the steriotypical southern redneck trucker hitting on the receptionist who wouldnt back off for her to check us in properly. all was well. for the price it was a very decent stay rooms were tidy spa was hot pool was warm. the room was COLD *we could see our breath upon arrival but it warmed up in about an hour.

Short walk from hotel
EVERYTHING was right there, walking or a short drive from the hotel. I SURE WISH THE RECEPTIONIST WOULD HAVE CHASED OFF THE TRUCKER THAT MADE ME FEEL PRETTY UNCOMFORTABLE BUT THEN SHE DID NOT LOOK VERY COMFORTABLE HERSELF. everything we asked for was taken care of PROMPTLY and yes we can be very demanding. extra pillows wake up call, extra towels etc.

Typical get what you pay for.
Glad it was just for 1 night. Room was in the basement floor. Smelled. Even though it was just a place to "sleep" for the night paying an extra $20 somewhere else would have been better. This hotel is NOT within walking distance to the Mayo Clinic, unless you want to walk 8-10 blocks!

a very bad stay
the hotel was nasty and dirty. it had a really bad smell. you could feel the springs poking u in the beds. the staff would not help u when u would ask them a question. they were to busy watching tv in the lobby. this was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. we tried to sit in the hot tub but the chlorline was so strong that it burned are eyes. i would not recommed this hotel to anyone.

I wouldnt pay $77 for it again
I wouldn't pay $77.60 for that room again. I thought I would have been nicer like the pictures showed it was. The employees were nice, friendly, and helpful with directions and where to take my child.

Not what you think!!
Well for starters the picture make it look better than it really is. Second orbitz Charged us $85 for the room when I could have gotten it for $63 dollars if I would have just booked through the hotel.
