Mayo visit
We had always stayed next to the Mayo clinic but with our stay being at St Mary's hospital and a bit longer, we wanted to find something for a good value. Although a bit skeptical at first, we were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely stay here again especially if the kids come. The bed was very comfortable and staff was friendly.

Good Stay 11/29 - 12/2
Facility has friendly, knowledgeable staff, good size rooms, full free breakfast, free shuttle to and from airport and free shuttle to and from Mayo. If you want fancy or a nice new elevator and a bunch of other irrelevant stuff, go elsewhere.

Very Good in Many Categories
My purpose for being in Rochester was to go to the Mayo Clinic everyday. When you arrive in Rochester, ask the Ramada to send their van to pick you up. In the morning and on the return trip in the afternoon, there is a shuttle between Mayo and Ramada. And, all of this is free! The staff members are willing to go beyond the usual if you have special requests and they have a good disposition. Teresa's Restaurant serves a good variety of very good entrees and appetizers, has a full bar, and in the morning gives a free hot breakfast..

Good stay, good value
The lobby for check-in is pleasant and the people who man the counters are friendly and knowledgeable. There is a pool of low depth and a large hot tub for 12 people. The rooms are fine but if you look for faults, of course you will find them. One gentleman who got on the elevator with me berated the elevator as looking old and not being as fast as he'd like. Those kinds of criticism are just silly and being a good traveler means not expecting everything to be just like home. The in-house restaurant is quite good and I ate their every night I could. I dined on everything from a black and bleu burger on my first visit to a rack of lamb on my last. Being a former professional cook and a fine chef for two to eight dining at my home, I am very picky about food. The free hot breakfast is a bonus. If the reason you’re in Rochester is the Mayo Clinic, a bonus is the shuttle bus stopping throughout the day at the Ramada and leaving you off at Mayo, or one of the hospitals, and you also get a free return ride back to Ramada. When you arrive at the airport, phone Ramada and get a free shuttle to the motel.

Fun Pool for kiddos
The pool is great for children. There is a kiddy pool with a mini slide and the big pool has a slide too. The hot tub was nice and hot. There are machines to play and win balls for pool enjoyment. The good thing was, we had a pool side room. The bad thing was, we had a pool side room. Once we were done with the pool and trying to put our children to sleep we couldn't because of all the noise coming from the pool until 10pm. The hotel room itself was not the cleanest I've seen. The floor had popcorn kernels on it and we never ate any popcorn! The cleaning staff needs to take a vacuum hose all around the edges of the room. Yuck. The ice bucket had a used cough drop stuck inside of it. Double Yuck! The breakfast was just ok. We had a difficult time getting our room to the right temperature and it was just so stuffy in there. Overall, it's a good time for kids in the pool but nothing special otherwise.

Working on upgrades
Had appts at Mayo Clinic and wanted to stay nearby, without breaking the bank. This hotel is working on upgrading an older establishment (bathrooms nicely appointed, beds and pillows comfortable) but some of the furniture and carpet is sad and worn. Good food at the continentl breakfast, offered in the adjacent restaurant,

Celebration!!
We celebrated our 1st game of the football season with a victory pool party. A last hoorah before school starts. My son and his friends had a blast. Clean room, great pool, and wonderful hot breakfast in the morning. The location is also a huge plus. Resturants, gas, and a shopping mall all within 1 1/2 miles!!
