Mistaken Identity
I thought this was the Kahler Grand. Didn't realize there were 2 Kahlers. My room was big and comfortable. Even though it was not just across the street from Mayo, it was within walking distance and connected to the underground walkway. Continental breakfast included, but not used the first day because of bloodwork. Next day I drank the coffee--terrible. I walked over to the Grand and ordered coffee--it was terrible too! The shuttles from the airport take you to all the hotels which are nearby the clinic. $11.50 as opposed to a $25 cab ride.

Perfect for Mayo Patients
Pretty average in most every way, however, adequate. Super convenient for Mayo Patients as it's connected via subway level to everything Mayo!

Very convenient to Mayo Clinic
Our suite was very comfortable. Our reason for being in Rochester was for the Mayo Clinic. Having access by way of the subway was priceless. The restaurants and coffee shops in the hotel made it very easy when we didn't want to go far for meals. This was our first time at Mayo and we were so impressed with the way it worked with our hotel by sharing wheelchairs making it easy for my husband to get back and forth.

Location location location
Even though the Hotel is under remodeling it was a great place to stay if you are going to be visiting the Mayo Clinic. Very accesable and the subways are very clean. They appear to be updating all the rooms and hallways. The resturant attaches was ok for a fast meal. Prices were reasonable, staff was excellent and friendly. Would recomen to anyone.

Kahler is the best!
We stayed while to take care of doctor appointments at Mayo and the staff were extremely helpful. We got the hotel prior to check in and the staff stored our luggage while we went to the appointment and allowed us to check in early. In the same way when we checked out but the shuttle was picking us up later. We recommend the Kahler for the quality of rooms and courtesy of the staff.

Location-excellent. Price-good.
First visit to Rochester so I chose the Kahler Inn because of its location to the Mayo Clinic. The rate was reasonable and it served a free continental breakfast. The room needed a through cleaning, not just a once over but the towels and linens were very clean. The selection from the breakfast buffet was so so. The location was top notch if you intend to visit the clinic several times during your stay and for that reason I would recommend it.

Rockin in Rochester
Just in town for the night for concert. Hotel was walking distance to concert. Floor was filthy throughout the hotel. Door to room would not close properly. Furniture old and worn. Beds were comfortable with clean linen. Balcony was very spacious with patio furniture. Only two tiny bars of soap and one shampoo. Only vending machine was in pool area which is locked at night, although a very nice security guard let me in to get snacks. New/clean carpet and storage of linen carts would make a huge difference.
