Great location, nice room, nice price.

The hotel room was a very large size, very clean and I loved the fact I could open a window for fresh air at night to sleep. The service was more than I expected compared to other hotels I have stayed in. I had appointments at Mayo Clinic and the short distance walk was nice. I would not hesitate to stay again next year when I have to go back to Mayo Clinic. EXCELLENT.....lg

Places to dine and shop where all within a block of each other. In a whole block around you could shop, eat, read, have coffee, just take in the sunshine. Excellent location.

Old Building, but very friendly

I booked this hotel online for my wedding night. When I check in I noticed the lobby looked clean but old styled. I didn't think much of it till later that night when I brought my new bride to our room. The elevator creaked, and the hallways were dimly lit to give the place an older personality. As a new husband, thoughts of horror films and trouble ran through my mind. The room was small, 75% of the room space was the bed. Thankfully, my new bride is a history major and loved every bit of it. We both enjoyed our stay. Great friendly staff to help you with anything; for first timers, check out your room in the day to ease any fears :)

Not what I expected

The hotel has a convenient corner location right down town. However, the hotel room was old and very small. Not at all what I expected since it said it was renovated in 2007. I expected more updated accommodations. The room we stayed in faced the main street and was very noisy at times. It was nice to have the Pannekoeken restaurant on the main floor (very good food) and very friendly staff. All in all, I guess it served its purpose but was not what I would have hoped for.

Only So, So

While it was in downtown Rochester, in an old building, the room was really small. Only enough room for one person. The bathroom was TINY, and there was a rag sitting on the spout for the tub with what could have been rust on it. I would have asked for another room if I'd had enough money for it, so I just dealt with that one gross issue. The shower was rough; after I pulled the switch to run the shower there was still water coming at half force out of the tub spout leaving me standing in calf deep water by the end of my 30 min. shower. Plus the water was luke-warm the whole time and there wasn't much pressure coming from the spout.

There are a TON of bars and restaurants around this particular location, and everything else is within a 5-10 min. drive. Very easy to navigate the city and find what you need.

Downtown Rochester

Visiting Rochester for Mayo appointments. This hotel is extremely convenient to Mayo buildings. We were able to park for free in the hotel lot and walk to every place we needed to go! The rooms were small as mentioned by other reviewers, but they were very clean and well kept. The only issue I had staying in this hotel was the nighttime noise level. Trains, ambulances, and people yelling outside the hotel off and on all through the night.

Days Inn

The room was very small as other reviewers commented. For me the room size wasn't matter because I traveled alone for a conference at Kahler hotel which was very close! I was there on Thursday and was able to enjoy the 'Thursday on First'!
