Poor
-Stuck in a smoking room, staff would not change due to '3rd party booking'. -Charged additional for pet, even though it was clearly stated on origional reservation option. -Thin walls?...easily overhear adjoining rooms and bathrooms. -Staff seems to be undertrained, not helpful.

Friendly place, convenient location
Super 8's location to shopping at Potters Barn, antique stores, downtown Red Wing and a nearby mall and restaurants is a plus. Red Wing, a charming old river city town, has many stores and shops that cater to the tourist. Treasure Island Casino a few miles to the north is another attraction.

Room phone did not work, had to use cell to make local calls, security door that should have required card to enter hotel did not work. Very noisy toilet when it was flushed, uncomfortable bed.

Great stay
Really friendly staff. They made suggestions for places to eat and activities in the area and even gave us discounts. We were a little late for breakfast and they still fed us and didn't make us feel like we were causing problems.

We ate and drank at a nice little German restaurant right next door. It was great and very reasonable.
