A big disappointment. Room small, cramped, o.k. for one, not two. No handicapped prvisions available
Manager said problem is with booking through a third party. We were givewn mthe worst rooms inthe complex. Noit interested in stayin g here again, or possibly any Days Inn.

The beds were comfy, BUT...
The room was spacious quiet, with comfy beds and bedding. But first impressions are hard to shake. The outside office door was sticky,the siding by room 147 had a foot wide gob of dark goo on it and the baseboards and carpet edges definately needed to be cleaned. The window had a ton of boxelder bugs and dirt between the screen and inside window so we needed to keep the windows shut. It just made one feel grungy to be there [...].

The hotel needs a major update. It may have been cleaned just fine, but everywhere just felt dirty & dingy.

If you are in Red Wing, you'll be surprised to learn it has an AMAZING Mexican restaurant, Fiesta Mexicana. Always delicious, authentic & very affordable.

Not that great
The good: The manager went above and beyond to correct a stupid mistake I made on our reservation. He genuinely cared about helping make things right for us. The bad: This is actually an old motel that has had a little lipstick applied to try and update it. The rooms are very small, the walls had old textured wallpaper pulled off and then painted over the old adhesive. The property butts right up against the wire enclosure of a correctional facility. The motel is on the outskirts of town and not very convenient to any points of interest. It met our basic needs of a quiet place to stay for the night, but was definitely overpriced for the value received.

Old School Motor Lodge
This is an old time pull up to your door type motel, the exterior has been updated but the rooms are tiny. The room was clean and quite, they had a good tv and cable. This is a nuth'in fancy but gets the job done type of operation. Oh yeah... there is a major correctional facility about 500 yards away from your room, it looked like they had a big fence if that makes you feel any better. The owner was very friendly and helpful!

I made a mistake when booking and ended up in a smoking room. The morel was very booked and we could not move into no-smoking.
