I use this hotel about once a year. This was the first time I'd visited on a holiday weekend. Things were still up to par. Very friendly and responsive staff, comfortable rooms, nice breakfast. The only small problem was that they didn't have the type of room I'd booked on the first night. Apparently I missed some small print and neglected to mention the number in my party. This never happened before and was corrected for the two following nights. This is not the closest hotel to my activity in Red Wing, but it's a short and easy drive into town.

Pleased traveler
Convenient one night stay
I recently stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Red Wing for a wedding. The hotel was nice and comfortable. The room was even ready a little early which was great because I needed to check in before 3pm. The breakfast in the morning was great, there were so many options and the food was delicious. I recommend staying at a Country Inn and Suites whenever possible, the rates are very reasonable.

Late night Surprise
The facility was nice and the staff was friendly. The breakfast in the morning was more than satisfactory. Unfortunately the individuals in the room next door started playing loud music at 2am and the hotel had to have the cops come to get it turned down. So there wasn't much sleep to be had.

Picky Patron
We'll be back!
Every fall we travel to Red Wing for the color change. Every year we discover something new. Keep your eyes open for the unexpected! The only negative thing I can say is that check-in took a bit longer than expected. The poor gal behind the desk was overwhelmed. There should have been someone to help her out.

Great Place to Stay and Friendly
Although my [...] Reservation got cancelled somehow. The hotel honored the rate that I was quoted by [...] and the Hotel upgraded me to a Suite for the inconvenience even though it wasn't their fault.

Make reservations at Vino in the Valley south of Ellsworth WI on Highway 10 East. It is hard to find but unique and worth it. Open air pavilion, Pasta, Salads, wood fired pizza in a vineyard which was just recently planted. You will need reservations!! Approximately 40 minutes from Red Wing Minnesota.

Quiet Comfort
I would have liked to have an elliptical machine in the fitness center. Also, all of the pillows were heavily stuffed down. I like down pillows but it is good to offer several varieties of pillows to accomodate what makes people most comfortable.

Nortons Downtown has beautiful environment and fine dining at affordable price, especially since they offered small portion meals - which to me were big enough. I ate a large cauliflower salad, small Jambalaya, and a special request mini-dessert (ice cream with sauce) for $23.

Great accommodations
Loved the room, actually they upgraded us to a suite, which was great. We did have a non-smoking room but the whole hallway on the 3rd floor smelled like cigarette smoke. Didn't notice the smell in the room, though.
