Good price, great staff, but smoke smell

This hotel was very affordable, and the staff were great. It's a short drive (20min or so) from the MSP airport and MOA (Mall of America). It's also just minutes from two different Benihana restaurants, which serve some of the best food I've ever tasted. Hotel Wi-Fi was fairly slow, and even though I was on the first floor and only maybe 150ft from the lobby, it cut out a lot. However, it got the job done overall. My only major complaint was that my "non-smoking" room smelled strongly of smoke--people had clearly been smoking in my room in the past. I will stay at this hotel in the future if I'm in the area, and hopefully other rooms smell less like smoke than mine did.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Benihana in Maple Grove is AMAZING. If you want to stay right close to the hotel within walking distance, there is a Green Mill right next to the hotel, or a Red Robin and/or Broadway Pizza that are a slightly longer walk away, but still quite close.

Great Location

The room caused my allergies to go crazy. The top of the bed looked okay but when I put my feet under the covers, there was a wet spot. It smelled like cleaning products. Did the cleaning people drop a bucket of cleaning water on the bed or was something gross wiped off the bed from a previous guest. Gross!! The price was right but I won't stay there again.

Clean, cheap option

I arrived at 12:30 at night and left at 8am so I really just needed a bed to sleep in and a shower in the morning. There was no lotion which would have been nice, but otherwise it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and check-in/check-out was extremely efficient. It was also the cheapest option in the area.

So-so

Plymouth is pretty close to Minneapolis, which was convienient. However, the hotel lacked a lot of basics that other hotels have. The room didn't even have a hair dryer, much to my chagrin. There also wasn't breakfast, and the only restaurant where you could get breakfast in Plymouth was very busy. The room was cozy, though.

Red Roof Inn Review

Conveniently located for what we needed. I used to live in the area, so I knew where things were. The staff was very nice. [...].Rooms were very clean and very quiet. Had to request extra towels -which were promptly delivered. They do not have blowdyers or coffee in the room (however coffee is available in the office). It was a good value for the money spent -

Newly remodleld, clean, good stay.

We initially were going to stay just 2 nights and move to another location, however, the room was so quiet and our stay was very restful, location good that we decided to use it as our base for our business and leisure stay for the week. Negative was the entrance to the hotel was not easy to access albeit the inn was just off the interstate.

Quiet and Friendly

We arrived in the middle of the night exhausted from traveling. When we arrived we had no problems checking in and our dog was welcome with open arms. Nice beds and quiet rooms. The staff was very friendly and would recomend this to our friends.
