Good inexpensive stay

The best thing about this hotel is the beds - they are very comfortable. We slept well. It is a basic hotel that meets the needs of travelers, and is pet friendly. If you want to lounge around by a pool, or have wonderful breakfasts, you would do well to pay more and choose elsewhere. The staff were very nice and efficient.

Not bad for a small town

I found the hotel owner to be very nice and helpful. This is what you would call a no-frills sort of place. That being said...you are in a small town! I was there for business and it provided me what I needed...free wi-fi, a bed, free HBO, a very simple free breakfast, and coffee. The price was right and gave me what I needed.

It was okay, not stellar by any means

I was at the hotel because I was out recruiting at high schools for the university I work for. It's run by a family and they weren't very accommodating; I had to wait around to be checked in and out. They wouldn't give me a receipt that I needed to get reimbursed. Their idea of a "continental breakfast" was a cereal dispenser, some bread, jelly packets, and tiny little muffins. Not even milk for the cereal. Not a good location and I'd recommend staying in Morris over here.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Subway is just down 12; continue down that road for a Pizza Ranch. I was told by locals to avoid the Dairy Queen.
