Great home base for vim and vigor in the Warehouse District
The TownePlace Suites is a perfect home base in downtown Minneapolis. These are suites so they come with a full kitchen. It is in the up and coming warehouse district, easy walk to downtown but more than likely a better stay if you are going to a sporting event. Gate secured parking avail able at $13/day. There is a pool table in the lobby.

Great Business Hotel
TownePlace was a great hotel with many amenities and a very convenient location if you have any meetings or events in the Warehouse District. The pool was very nice, gym has everything you need, and the free breakfast was fast and easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Cuzzy's is one street over from the hotel and is a great low key dive bar with great food and tater-tots. They also deliver to the hotel if you'd rather stay in.

Awesoooooooome!
Went to a concert @ Target Center a few blocks away. Staff sooooooooo nice and helpful. Beautiful, new, clean rooms and beds, etc. Loved the fridge and plates and stuff in bedroom and free breakfast. Doors lock after 6PM so very secure. Nice flat screen tv. GREAT price from [...]on the hotel too :P

Bring good sneakers, you'll need them
The staff was beyond friendly, the linens were soft and smelled good, the bed was a bit soft for our taste, the place had a casual, colorful decor. The room was quiet. Only major drawback was location - we were there for our son's graduation from Macalester and had not rented a car. We needed to take the light rail, bus, and walk 20 minutes just to get into his St. Paul neighborhood.

Warehouse District - Has Flaws
Considering the size of the hotel, the number of underground parking spaces (very important in winter!) is very inadequate. This is a design flaw that cannot be fixed. The hard mattresses can and should be replaced.

Situated in the warehouse district, within 1 mile from beautiful downtown Minneapolis, this hotel provided an almost perfect experience. It doesn't have really fancy decor or accomodations, but its not supposed to. It was affordable, everything was very clean, friendly staff, completely non-smoking, and the best part - free continental breakfast (muffins, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and juice). CNN is on during breakfast! I highly recomend this hotel to anyone coming to the area. I rated it 4 instead of 5 stars only because if you're looking for a "fancy or upscale" experience, then you you won't find it here. But again, it has normal normal (and clean/working), like a TV and full kitchen appliances. There is no restaurant/cafe either, but plenty of dining options are a few blocks away, downtown.
