Nice Hotel To Stay In
David Nov 27, 2009
I have been staying at this hotel for a couple years now. Maybe I have been spoiled by my other recent vacations, but this ... hotel isn't the same. The food wasn't quite as good, its expensive too for the quality. The rooms are nice but the bed isn't the top quality I would expect. The true annoying part was the hallways were so hot!

There are many things to do around the area that only take about two minutes to walk to. I suggest the Local, which is an Irish bar about two blocks away.

My Stay at the Marquette by Hilton
TheJudge Nov 15, 2009
This place was awesome. Right in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The rooms looked like they were brand new, spacious, ... and the bathroom was amazingly fancy and large. We also only had to pay 50% of the parking fee because we were hotel guests, and we didn't get that when we stayed in a different hotel in the cities. It is also connected to the Nicolet Mall which was pretty neat too.

Great nights sleep!
birthday girl Nov 9, 2009
Our stay was very enjoyable and the room was very clean and updated. I especially liked the shower. We were disappointed with ... the lack of hot tub/sauna/ or pool. Also I found it strange that the hotel charged $3 for a snickers bar and $5 for a bottle of water, when the room was already a bit pricey. Overall, nice place.

disappointed with package procedure
kimberley Nov 1, 2009
the hotel was beautiful and the room was exactly what i wanted, but having to pay extra for each ammenity (parking, wi-fi, ... laundry) was disappointing. those fees add up very quickly over a 4-day stay. additionally, i didn't appreciate having paid [...] for the entire package (flight/hotel/car), and then having to pay additional "security holds" on both the hotel and car upon arrival. i essentially paid twice until those holds drop off next week.

check first and choose a hotel that doesn't nickel and dime for ammenities.

Just Ok!
Viking Fans from Maryland Oct 11, 2009
My husband and I took a trip to see the Viking play Green Bay and for our 7 year anniversary. We liked the location of the ... hotel but the staff was very unfriendly, the room had a really bad odor, and the bed seemed to be worn out. When we asked the hotel staff where the best steak house was to eat they said "No where". I don't expect that from an up-scale hotel. But if you are looking for a steak house Manny's was great! So overall -- I would NOT stay at this hotel again!

Wonderful hotel
Minnesota Mike Oct 11, 2009
I stayed here a year ago when I was last in Minneapolis and made the mistake of staying elsewhere for a few days when I was ... back in town. For the latter part of my stay, I ended up booking a room here because the rooms are excellent, with a high-class bathroom, good quality flat panel TV, very usable desk, and extremely comfortable bed. The location is perfect, only 2 blocks from the Nicollet Mall light rail stop in the heart of downtown. This is the hotel I will choose from now on when my travels bring me back to Minneapolis.

The Marquette Hotel is Amazing!
txmarty Oct 2, 2009
I have to admit to a significant confusion. Three blocks apart there is The Marquette Hotel by Hilton and The ... Hilton-Marquette. I was attending a conference at The Hilton-Marquette, but that was, ultimately, my mistake. The hotel is lovely--modern and elegant. The room was larger than I expected--and, very luxurious. The HVAC was quiet & working perfectly. The room was well insulated--I could not hear my neighbors. The hotel staff was friendly & helpful--from the bellhops to the front desk to the concierge desk. I simply had a wonderful stay at this hotel & heartily recommend it to anyone.

There are small malls accessible by catwalks everywhere. In inclement weather, you can still see & do so many things & shop in hundreds of stores without ever stepping outside.

Clean Hotel...
Al Oct 1, 2009
We were only there for one night, but the hotel in general was a nice place. There was a nice bar and grill right across the ... street that had really good food. The bad thing about this hotel is that we had a room right next to the elevators and could here them going up and down all the time. Tip: Request a room away from the elevators. Overall, it was a nice place.
