The Hotel Minneapolis, Autograph Collection capitalizes on the original turn-of-the-20th-century bank architecture. Elegant marble columns, authentic bank vaults and dramatic ceilings are fused with soft modern influences. Groovy light fixtures and warm candy colors punctuate the seating area and accent walls. Sophisticated palates love the on-site restaurant Max, featuring innovative regional cuisine. The menu features yummy grilled flatbreads, and seafood, meat and poultry dishes with a twist. like a million dollars
The room was excellence and still had the smell like of a new car. The bathroom and shower was huge and the room was of great size also. The flat T.V. from the wall was very handle that could pull out n turn around. It made you feel like a king.Loved the glass shower doors that swang both ways....

A Great Downtown Minneapolis getaway!
My wife and I live in rural Minnesota so we occasionally stay overnight in downtown Minneapolis for the dining and entertainment. I have to say the Hotel Minneapolis is the best value we have found. The management & staff were first class and we loved the hotel dƩcor but I do want to mention that our room did not a great view, on the plus side it was large, well appointed and immaculately clean. The location is not far from the light rail line that runs from the Minneapolis airport to downtown, and the Metrodome is only a few blocks away if you are attending a sporting event. Finally we have to mention the delicious warm chocolate chip cookies we received at check in

Short walk from hotel
The restaurant āMaxā in the hotel but you might want to check out Kieranās Irish Pub which is across the street and has good reasonably priced food and live Irish music. Also the hotel has valet parking but we opted for the less expensive overnight self-parking about a block away.

Great downtown location
My finace and I travelled to Minneapolis for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Minneapolis. The hotel was much nicer than I expected, very clean and contemporary. The rooms had beautiful high ceilings so they felt larger than the moderate size they actually were. I appreciated the flat screen and HD tv when we caught a few minutes of college football. The bathrooms were very nice as well, the shower was large and the shower head was actually high enough for my 6'3" fiance to use comfortably. The lobby was decorated beautifully, and although we did not eat or drink at the hotel the bar area looked very nice. We didn't arrive until almost 1 am but the staff was very friendly and helpful, chatting with us about football and the fact that the president was in town.

We came to Mlps to visit our son in NE. This hotel was approx a mile away. Perfect. Everything was clean, the room spacious and the staff friendly. The drinks were pricey at MAX, but we're from a small town and most nice places are a bit pricey.

Great find!
Great decor and atmosphere. Staff was extremely nice and valet service was perfect! Always attentive and polite. The downtown area was clean and all in walking distance from shops, food, and bars. Helpful hint...go inside the buildings and skywalks! So much more is inside than what is labeled on the streets! [...]

My New Favorite
We were in town visiting for a wedding and the 4th and we couldn't have stayed in a better place! It was an excellent location downtown and a great price for a really good hotel! The hotel was very nice and clean and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel was delicious and completely free-just ask the front desk for your complimentary coupons. We parked in a parking lot a block away that had great weekend rates verses the very expensive valet parking of the hotel. So that is my only advice to other guests. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Minneapolis. In fact I can't wait to plan it!

Short walk from hotel
Park elsewhere, especially if staying the weekend, there are great overnight/weekend rates rather than paying the very high priced valet parking of the hotel-I got that tip from the valet as we checked in.
