I want to come again!! Beautiful hotel, great location, bathroom was gorgeous...minor issue was the water was either very hot or lukewarm. Good thing I don't mind hot showers!

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There are places to eat, you just need to walk over to Hennepin Avenue. Not a far walk, but the desk staff didn't seem to realize that.

good hotel
clean, good location, valet is $30 so park across the street and take the skyway over, weekends you cannot connect to the skyway until noon. Otherwise, good experience.

In Hotel
avoid Restaurant Max; it is convenient but not very good quality for the price. I was given a basket of bread of which half was hard and stale and one piece looked like it had been bitten right in the center -- park across the street, valet is overpriced.

Classy downtown hotel
We were impressed by the renovated bank building, complete with preserved vaults and interesting features. The self-serve wine bar in the lobby was very cool.

Staff and amenities lacking.
When we arrived, the valet staff (which charges $30 per night) could barely be bothered with us. No carts were available to help us get to our rooms with so much luggage. We finally found a cart and did the job ourself. I called at 12 am for late night service and told it wasn't available. I pushed the staff to explain why room service was not available when the menus say it should be and he finally agreed to bring me a b.l.t. Sandwich for $20. The product we received was awful and we returned it without touching it. Overall, I would say in comparison to my previous stay, this one was quite disappointing.

Nice place, but ...
It's a beautiful hotel located in the middle of downtown. Two problems, though: one, somebody forgot to clean our room two days in a row (the front desk looked horrified when we informed them of this; and two, late-night room service is a joke, featuring pre-made sandwiches that looked disgusting and several days old (we sent it back). We had stayed there a year earlier and had none of these problems, so it's entirely possible this was just an off-weekend for staff or we were the victims of bad luck. But our stay was far from perfect.

Weekend Football Game
This hotel not only met our expectations, it exceeded them. The best thing about this place is the privacy and lack of noise, in fact, I've never stayed in a more quiet hotel. The beds were great, the bathrooms were up-to-date, and the room was well-equipped with a coffee station and a flat screen. The location of the property was fabulous and EVERYTHING is within walking distance. The security at the hotel was also impressive, with elevators that required room access to operate. You will not find a better hotel in downtown Minny for this price. We had no complaints.

Pleasant, for the most part.
The staff was very nice and helped us out quite a bit - they have a list of amenities that are available to customers that are free or for a nominal charge, which was nice. The use of in-room internet for $10.95 a day was, however, reasonably irritating.
