A good place to spend a night
My wife and I traveled for leisure between Christmas and New Year's. There was a special at this hotel that we took advantage of. The hotel staff was super helpful. We received a free upgrade to be able to use a microwave and a refrigerator. So the overall value was unbeatable. The room was very clean. The bathroom was in perfect repair. The only problem was a broken closet door, which they said they would fix when we left. We used their fitness facility (5 basic cardio machines), the swimming pool, and the whirlpool. They don't provide complimentary breakfast, but you can order from their restaurant, which we didn't. The location is in an industrial zone, so you cannot walk anywhere. If you drive or are there for business, then this place is fine. You can get to downtown St Paul or Minneapolis in 10-15 min.

Pillows are horrible

Pleasant, easy location, piano music

Good choice
I am very pleased I chose Ramada Plaza, after three days looking for a good hotel and good price. It is smoking free, so there were no smoke smelly bedrooms, elevator or halls. It was clean. The location was very good to us, very close to 35W and 280, so were able to go every where, very easy. The free internet was very handy and useful, too. The restaurant is very good. People was very nice.

excellent choice
My usual place was full (at jacked-up rates) due to a game so I had to go fishing for a new hotel ... and I couldn't have been more pleased. The service and accomodations both were excellent and the location was perfect for my purposes, i.e., quick and easy access to both downtown St Paul and downtown Minneapolis and points in between. I'll be back.

Just what we wanted. Downtown hotels were very expensive or full. They didn't have great reviews either. This hotel provides free internet and printer as well. Free shuttle to convention center and university. Two of us were comfortable in two double bed room. It's located right off 35W, so easy to commute if you have a car. No public transportation nearby and no restaurants nearby. Hotel doesn't provide breakfast. Hotel has a really nice restaurant space but I wish they invested in quality service. There is a swimming pool and a couple of treadmills in the gym, but we anyway didn't have time for it. There is no refrigerator in the room, which is not great but they do have coffee. TV wasn't great either. We wanted an inexpensive option with comfortable room and easy commute to the conference place and internet; this hotel was a nice choice.
