Nice Hotel

A few friends and I got together to celebrate Halloween in downtown Minneapolis. While we didn't stay out as much as we ... thought we would, the hotel was comfortable enough that we had a great time there, instead.

Disappointed in Radisson Plaza
Enjowyng a Night Out Sep 27, 2009
We were just there for a night away, but there was no mini-fridge in the room. We were thirsty at 11 PM, but when we tried to ... get room service, it had been closed. The night we were there, there were several extremely loud people on our floor who kept waking us up at 2 AM, 3 AM, etc. We were very disappointed in the hotel. The room had no amenities, not even the room service menu. We will not stay there again.

When staying at the Radisson in Minneapolis, the Light Rail is a huge time saver. Not only does it connect you to many of the city's hot spots, but it alleviates the headache of driving in an unfamiliar town.

Solid Minneapolis Hotel
The Dude Aug 27, 2009
The purpose of my visit was to attend a VIkings/Chiefs preseason football game. The location was ok for the stadium, but ... could've been closer. I was disappointed with the receptionist at the front desk. She seemed to be at the end of her shift and quite crabby. I would've liked to seen a better whirlpool, as it was a small tub in a small unvented room. The sleep number beds were very comfortable. I didn't care for the glass glasses in the room. When I stay at a hotel I want to have plastic cups in a wrapper.

A Night in the City for Mommy and Daddy
BS Aug 23, 2009
Of our 12-hour overnight, tightly-scheduled get-away, my wife and I barely found the time to sleep at our hotel. Though we ... were not able to fully enjoy all of the amnemities, we found the Radisson clean, comfortable and relaxing; the perfect choice for our short, but still special occasion.

My boyfriend and I went to the state fairgrounds for an event. We booked our hotel through Orbitz and stayed at the Radisson ... right down town. To book the hotel could not have been easier and it was the exact price they said it would be which was super cheap! When we got to the hotel it was beautiful!! I was super happy and would book with Orbitz in a heartbeat again.

Radisson Hotel, Minneapolis
ScottInStPaul Jun 14, 2009
The staff was VERY helpful. The room was clean and had many amenities. I was a little surprised to find that I was charged $1 ... for making a short local call, but I don't stay at hotels often and maybe that's what they all do. The only problem I had was a roudy group of people who passed back and forth during the night. All-in-all, I enjoyed my stay and how conveniently located it is.

Radisson Hotel Miscommunication
Brandon Twins Fan Jun 10, 2009
I arrived to check-in into the Radisson Plaza around 10pm with my confirmation # and the hotel check-in staff didn't have my ... name on file. Even though I had my Orbitz billing receipt and confirmation #, I was not in the system and told I had NO room. After calling Orbitz customer service twice and being left on hold for over 15 minutes, I was disconnected. I called a third time and the Orbitz customer service lady couldn't answer my questions/concerns and then placed me on hold for another 10 minutes. She then acknowledged the problem and said she would fax over the billing receipt to the Hotel. I was once again on hold while she faxed the document to Radisson Plaza. After 45 minutes dealing with Orbitz terrible customer service, I finally got the fax through to the hotel. My kids and wife were anxious and upset and I looked like a fool b/c the Radisson check-in desk concluded I must have booked another Radisson Hotel. Combined with Orbitz slow unreliable service, the problem didn't get solved in an effective or efficient manner. My wife and I missed the concert we had purchased tickets for. Finally the hotel check-in just created a new reservation for us and the night manager was planning to figure financial out with Orbitz. The manager said this had never happened before. We then got keys to our room and as I arrived to our room close to midnight, we had been given the wrong keys. This was terrible all around experience and Orbitz FAILED to help fix the issue in a timely fashion that showed concern for their customers.
Traveler type: Family
Don't use Orbitz for booking your Hotels b/c if a complication or issue arises their customer service call line is unreliable and inefficient at helping you solve your problem when you need them most.

Great location, spotlessly clean
Shantooz May 8, 2009
Hotel was almost eerily quiet, I take that as a sign that there were few other guests there. Very nice restaurant, we had ... breakfast and everything was high quality, very friendly waitstaff. I was traveling with my brother who is over 6' and a big guy, so the room seemed smallish with the two of us and two full beds. But, spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Vending machines only on two floors of the hotel, so if you want a late night drink, it's a pain. Bathroom amenities on the chintzy side, and no hand towels, just bath and wash cloths. We attended a concert at The Orpheum Theatre, just a short walk. Beware - we arrived on a Sunday night and much of the retail and many restaurants were closed.

Many theatres and night clubs within a 5 minute walk - get some tickets online and enjoy a wonderful evening out.

good location to downtown
William Oct 27, 2008
Our first glimpse of our room was disconcerting because it opened onto an inside space...conference room or whatever. Too ... claustrophobic for us, especially since we were spending three nights there. They were very obliging, and found another room for us immediately. Otherwise all was well...lots of towels, etc! We would have liked a choice of a more inexpensive breakfast option, but the one restaurant was good.
