Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MINNEAPOLIS (GOLDEN VALLEY)

Great location without the chaos of the city. Short distance from sporting venues. My only complaint is that they charge more for a king bed with a sofa bed than they do for a room with two queen beds.

The room was comfortable and served its purpose. Was an evening out for my husband and I. Booked King room but they only had double. The staff indicated my reservation only allowed King if available and of course none were. Not sure if this is through booking agent but I would have paid the $20.00 more to get the room I wanted. We also picked location because it was 1/2 mile from event we were attending, it advertised a shuttle to local places and we knew we wanted to drink. I have stayed at other places with shuttles and new you had to wait or ride with other people but I guess here you can pay to book a group so it wasn't an option for us. I would recommend calling ahed or put your name down when you book the room.

The hotel was perfect, but very difficault ti fine. The google map and mapquest shows hotel on different location as the hotel located. The address is incorrect, the hotel is on the other side of 394. The room clean and nice, staff is ok, except breakfest area people. They never smile, this is strange.

i frequent the cities about every other month-when i look at a place im seeking internet capable the place i stayed at said it had it-when i got to my room-set up-i couldnt get access :(

We come to the cities every summer for a fun getaway from home. We usually stay at a competitor hotel just down the road for $20-40 cheaper and are usually satisfied. We decided to try something different after an unsatisfactory room on our last trip. This hotels has great amenities (especially compared to the other hotel we stayed at). The room was also much nicer condition/comfortable. We are familiar with the location and it works well for us with easy access to 394,some food places down the road & a gas station. The breakfast is good especially since they have hot foods (eggs, bacon, etc.) but to make it perfect some waffles would be great or a wider selection of muffins/bagels. The only complaint I have was that the lady that checked us in was not exactly friendly or informative, just very terse & succinct "Sign this" "I need you're ID and credit card" "your room is this" and that was pretty much the extent of the conversation. Regardless, I will definitely be staying at this hotel again, it was a good deal for the price we paid.

Bravo to the staff at the Holiday Inn Express in Golden Valley. Very friendly and easy check-in. Forgot toothpaste, went to the front desk, and they gave me some toothpaste as well as a couple of bottles of water after asking where I could get some bottled water. My only complaint was that it was kind of loud (kids running in the hallways late into the night and traffic outsitde). Not too much the hotel can do about that though. I will definetely stay there again.

the hotel was great for my trip. Everything was clean and looked good as new. Very pleased

For the most part, the stay was just what I needed. I did end up using the alarm on my phone as I could not figure out how to set the one provided. The room accomodations were swell, and I received the best sleep I've had in a long time. The only sleep inhibitor was when the fire alarm went off at 1:00am. Turned out to be a sprinkler problem, but it was a rude awakening. The other thing that was somewhat disappointing was the fitness room was on one end of the building and the pool was near the lobby. I'd prefer these two areas to be closer together. As such, I did not make use of the pool area.

The bed in the hotel was wonderful but it was somewhat sad that hot tub was not working. My husband & I definitely needed that. Plus we did have to call the front desk to have noise stopped above us since it seemed to be a herd of elephants in the room above us.

The staff and shuttle service stood out as excellent for the trip. I was quite pleased with the room and the breakfast was exceptional. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to join the happy hour but will try to attend on the next trip to Minneapolis.
