At the doorstep of downtown Minneapolis hustle and bustle
An upscale newcomer hotel in the Twin Cities, the Hilton Garden Inn gets an envious downtown address across from the Minneapolis Convention Center. With neighbors like the Orchestra Hall, Metrodome (home of the Minnesota Vikings) and Nicollet Mall, guests are steps from plenty of action. Better still, the hotel shuttle offers doorstep service to area businesses including Target Corporation, Wells Fargo, and the University of Minnesota campus. Rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn include free Internet, and the indoor pool is open late.
Highlights
- Only downtown Minneapolis hotel to offer double queen-size beds
- On-site Pavillion Pantry is open 24-hours and sells sundries and ready-to-cook meals
- Take advantage of the free Stay Fit Kits for a private in-room workout
Rooms
The 210 guest rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Downtown are decorated in soft buttery tones with dark wood headboards, modern lamps and checkered window treatments. Expect loads of comfort with plush white linens, hypo-allergenic feather pillows, and a flexible place to work with a spacious work desk and ergonomic Herman Miller Mirra desk chair. Rooms come equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. Stay entertained with a 37-inch flat-screen TV and connected free high-speed Internet access.
Features
Kick back after a long day in the modern lobby lounge at Hilton Garden Inn under the sultry glow of pendant chandeliers and a roaring fireplace. Stay fit for free in the on-site fitness center and refreshing indoor pool. Swim laps or lounge poolside under a bank of extra large windows with sparkling city views. The pool opens early and closes late.
The on-site Great American Grill is a relaxed American restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Swing by the Great American Lounge for a light lunch, dinner or an easy nightcap. Evening room service is also available. For a night on the town, this downtown hotel is within walking distance to great Minneapolis eateries, live theatre and a vibrant nightlife, with the ever-trendy Warehouse District a quick cab ride away.

Family getaway
All employees were very nice and went out of their way for you. Room was very nice and clean. Dining room food was very good. Only complaint is the doors are very heavy and would slam shut which tended to go on all day. Exercise room small but nice. Would stay again!!!

The pefect place to work if you are on a trip
I needed a place to spend a day working in my room during a long and complicated trip. I expected just the average hotel but I found that there couldn't have been a better place to be quiet, focus and get the work done. The large desk, good internet connection and all the other room amenities were perfect - compfortable, roomy and calm. In addition, you can print files from your own room ( and retrieve them at the buisness center below). The location was great too - not too many distractions, but a short walk to the Art Institute ( I was told that they also offer town cars at 7/hour) and easily accessible from anywhere downtown or from the UMN campus across the river. Last but not least, the staff was superbly helpful and friendly. A pleasure!

Nice and close to Metrodome
We had a great stay at the hotel. Everything that you could ask for. Would have been nice if they would have stated that parking is $24/night. We've stayed in the area before, so we were prepared for it. Normally they discount it 50% since I'm handicapped, but not this hotel.

Great Stay while at Vikings Game
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We normally don't stay at 3 star hotels due to the prices, but the price was so good on this hotel that we booked it. The only thing that was not explained was that parking was $24/night, but we have stayed in the Twin Cities previously and were prepared to possibly pay for onsite parking. It was very clean, they made sure that we had a Handicap accessible room. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and definitely recommend it to others.

Make sure to have their breakfast. For $12.95 it is the best breakfast ever at a hotel. Made to order eggs, waffles, french toast, and pancakes. It was excellent.

Great Place to Stay!
We really enjoyed the view from our room of downtown Minneapolis. The service (all around) was excellent and staff was very friendly. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. I rate this hotel as one of the best that I have ever stayed in and look forward to going back. Valet parking is your only option so be prepared.
