Really expensive for not a lot
This was an interesting room with an ok view, but that is where the value ends. The whirlpool tub was just ok and the water smelled funny, the only real luxury was the marble floors in the bathroom, otherwise the room itself had mostly cheap laminate floors and stained carpet. The chaise lounge was stained and their was mildew in the bathroom in several places. The shower was dark as there was no light in there as was the common areas of the hotel. The halls were really loud and the doors slammed all the time. When people were in the halls you could hear them clearly as if they were in the room. The drinks at the bar were expensive as was the food in Cosmos, we decided not to eat there cause the price was so high. Over all we could have stayed in several other hotels with pools, bigger whirlpool tubs, and more amenities for way less money.

Money-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Go to a different hotel. Stay outside the city for better hotels with more amenities and drive into the city so you don't have to pay $28 for parking at the hotel that you just paid $300 for a just ok night.

Well worth a stay
I have stayed at Graves 601 a few times now and couldn't ask for a better experience. Hence why I have returned. Good location, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff and the bed and massage shower are to die for. A particularly nice touch is each time I have checked in, within 15 minutes ice is brought to the room. Saves those annoying hallway hunts. The only qualm I have is the cost of valet parking. But block E parking ramp is 2 minutes walk away at only $13 for 24 hours. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking at staying in Minneapolis. It isn't the cheapest hotel, but it isn't the most expensive either. Worth every star

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Solera Restaurant, a five minute walk away is moderately priced and has a fantastic selection of wine and tapas with service that matches that of Graves 601.
