Great Downtown Weekend

The whole experience was easy. The location was great being just a block or two from Nicolette Mall. There was plenty of ... shopping and dining venues nearby. Very reasonable parking fees with unlimited in&out per day. The hotel was connected all over the city by catwalks so we never needed to go out into the cold. The room was a great getaway for a couple and service in the bar was top-notch. It wasn't very crowded, so we were able to get chairs next to the fireplace.

We came up to the Viking football game. It was a very nice hotel but there was a party going on down the hall from our room. ... They were really loud. I didnt get much sleep.

No Points, elevator rumbles your room!

Found a great price through [...], but was told I couldn't accrue Priority Points due to the discounted rate. I was told I ... should have booked through them at a significantly higher cost to be eligible for points. Room was seriously discounted BUT there was a ton of construction (took forever to get out of the parking garage!!) and you could hear the elevator traverse like it was in the room with you. I was reluctant to complain due to the great rate, but no points on top of the lousy room really made the stay less than pleasurable. Wont be going back.

We have been traveling to Minneapolis more frequently to visit our daughter in college. We were very pleased with the hotel ... accommodations, the price and the location. We felt we got a good value for our money and thought the service was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

We booked on the Executive level so we had 24 hr access to the Executive Lounge which was very nice. The hotel is close to ... the light rail and skyway. The staff were very nice and helped with directions and recommendations. I was disappointed to find out that you do not get the same perks when you book on [...] compared to if you booked directly with the hotel.

My wife and I went to Minneapolis for my friend's wedding last weedend. I read the reviews on the hotel before we booked it ... and it sounded nice. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our room actually shared a wall with the elevator shaft, which sounded like rolling thunder the whole time. Another thing that wasn't cool was when we got our room service bill. We had room service twice on our stay. Nowhere on the menu our any literature does it say that there is a delivery charge. So I pretty much ended up tipping twice on both occasions. I explained to the front desk,while I was checking out, that my bill was atleast $30 more than it should be and that's when I first heard of the delivery charge. It probably wouldn't have bothered me if it wasn't such a surprise. I just wouldn't tip $30 for $30 worth of food. To top it off, the guy that delivers our food starts making comments. They were in regards to how loud the elevator is and what sexual sounds that it would drown out. [...] At the end of it all, the man at the front desk took off $7 to make our tab $81. That's it.

Front desk was rude on checkout. Instead of thanking me for my stay, they answered a call while I was paying. ... Nice. Parking is discounted to $11 a day at the front desk. Hotel was average. Rooms were clean. Noisy with all the construction and parties. For $70 on a Saturday night I can't really complain.

in general a good hotel, friendly staff, although location is great for business, downtown, roadwork all around downtown area ... made it miserable to drive and get around for the one who doesn't know his way around. And parking was very expensive because you have to park in one of the downtown parking garages and it can go over $20 a day or more.

We were awoken on the first morning by some construction that was going on in the building. I called down to complain. The ... staff was extremely apologetic and upgraded us to a room on the top floor in a quieter part of the hotel. It made for a great experience.

Great location which will be even better once the major downtown sidewalk and street upgrades are complete. We did a good ... deal of travelling while there so the attached parking was a plus. Nice and clean and quiet with the right amenities. Would stay there again and would recommend to a friend.

SURPRISE! We're jackhammering ALL DAY!

After driving all night, we arrived with plans for a quick shower and a long nap before we hit the town. Unfortunatly, the ... hotels parking garage was undergoing some renovations, which entailed ALL DAY LONG JACKHAMMERING and went on until 6pm (Why didn't Orbitz warn us?). When we found out, we asked for a refund so we could move on and get some sleep at a quieter locale. However, according to the clerk, since we booked through Orbitz we were uneligable for any refunds! Great. We were stuck there, unable to rest and off to a very terrible start to our vacation. Thanks Crowne Plaza & Orbitz for screwing us royally. NEVER AGAIN!

Staff was very helpful with directions to Metrodome, IDS Center, restaurants and shops. Stayed here on a Friday and Saturday ... night. Several weddings at the hotel over the weekend and 1 loud post wedding party on floor below me on Saturday night which accounted for the noisy atmosphere the one night.

Downtown parking is an issue. We did get a discount on parking in the hotel lot, but if you don't, there are several lots within a block of hotel which are less to park at. We got there Friday afternoon and left Sunday, so I don't know if parking would be less during the week.

Everything was readily available via public transportation which was polite, clean, efficient, and always available; a better way to see the sites than a cab although these were always waiting outside the hotel. the entire city was spotlessly clean. I've never see a city so clean!

There were numerous dining places and you could get to them through the skywalk system (nice, if it's cold) by walking. Some were a really long ways off and as a woman alone, I didn't feel safe walking late at night through the skywalk. So I used hotel dining a lot. The food was good, but not great.
