Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport

I stayed at the Medota Heights Fairfield Inn for one night and it was okay. The one thing I loved was the great shuttle service. I had them pick me up from the airport, take me to the Great Mall, pick me up from the mall, and then the next day back to the airport. They had friendly staff. Absolutely the best set of people to work in a hotel!! The room itself was just okay, kind of smelled funny, wasn't really brand new (they were doing renovation, maybe my room wasn't done yet). They had continental breakfast and I even made my own waffles.

Before making reservations, we inquired about hotel's 24 shuttle service to airport. We were told to call hotel when we landed and by the time we got our bags, they would be outside waiting. Well, we called when we landed and got our luggage. Then, waited and waited outside and then finally received a telephone call that it would be another 20 minutes. This was unexceptable with two children under 4 yrs of age at 10:30pm. After arriving at hotel (via taxi we paid for ourselves), our room was not ready. When we got into our room (pratically tripping over the hotel worker who was trying to clean the room while we were downstairs waiting), the garbage had not been emptied and the bathroom was dirty and who knows if the sheets had been changed. I would not recommend this hotel.

The overall stay was nice the staff at desk very helpful and nice. We did have to ask for fresh towels for room after one night. This was not something I have come across before at a hotel. Usually if nothing else you are provided clean towels daily.

The hotel has been recently updated and offers a very trendy room at a very good price. It was close to the airport and the Mall of America. I was so tired and could wait to check in. They let us check in almost 1.5 hours early for no extra charge. The free breakfast was wonderful. We made our own fresh waffles, there were bagels, yogurt, cereal, muffins, coffee, juice milk and much more. To top it all off the breakfast actually started at 5:00am so I was able to eat before I left to get to the airport. A shuttle was available to the airport but I didnt use this service. This hotel even had a small shop to purchase things like toothpaste, q-tips, candy bars, drinks etc. and vending machines with ice cream bars and pizza pockets in case you are a midnight snacker.

It was a very nice and comfortable hotel in a very convenient location for a great price. It was a short 5-10 minute drive to the MOA depending on traffic. The beds were comfy and the rooms were decorated well and very clean. The only downfall was that there were no solid curtains to keep out the sun in the morning so sleeping in wasn't much of an option.

Visited relatives. Evening staff unaccomidating.

A bit isolated but the people running the shuttle and the front desk couldn't have been nicer. Very nice people and they run the business well.

We like the location; price is good; the beds are very comfortable, love all the pillows; and the new decor in the room is great - makes you feel like you are in your bedroom and not a motel.

The front desk staff was extremely attentive, providing a layout of the facility, ammenities, and a list of local resturants. The front desk followed up with a phone call to my room to confirm the lodging was to my satisfaction. The fitness facility was small with two treadmills and an elliptical machine. A recumbent bike, some dumbells and a bench would be a welcome improvement.
