small time
They gave our room away to a softball team who committed to staying 5 nights even though we prepaid. They gave me a king bed room for my family of 4 and said that's the best they could do. i asked for a roll away and they said they had 2 but we(the one desk person and myself) checked 6 storage rooms and none. I informed them I was going swimming and she needed to move someone and clean a room with 2 queens. An hour later she found a king sleeper sofa room for me. The prepayment from xyz was looked down upon because it was a lower fare than they were getting from the other parties. They also charged me $.65 cents because they said you charged the wrong tax amount. Total small town/ small time attitude. Hot tub was empty with warning tape around it.

out of the way but nice
Nice property but whirlpool was out of service as were EVERY single vending machine When we first checked in I had to replace 3 lights myself. Breakfast needed some protein like sausage or eggs rather than just cereal and waffles. We would stay there again but I would not say it is a destination hotel that I would go out of my way to stay in

Short drive from hotel
New Ulm Breweries and wineries are a nice treat and the shopping in New Ulm in the downtown is very relaxing and fascinating

A positive surprise!
Kind a in the middle of nowhere Madelia Hotel is a very quiet and nice place to stay when you are visiting New Ulm area. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Room was tidy, bed comfortable, bathroom clean, . There is a pool which I didn't use but couple of kids assisted by their parents had a very fun time, it seemed.

Great hotel
This hotel is very nice and offers a great value. I had a whirlpool suite, very roomy and comfortable. Satff was friendly. However be aware they are not pet friendly as advertised.

Excellent Stay!
Clean, Beautiful, quiet and nice room. We ordered a King room and liked the fridge and microwave. Staff was very responsive. Continental breakfast was a bit sparse including cereal, fruit cups, muffins, juice toast and english muffins, and Carbons Malted Waffles. Arrived on a Monday night and Madelia was pretty much closed. Therefore I cannot comment on restaurant offerings.

The motel was fantastic
We were at a granddaughter's graduation At Martin Luther College in New Ulm. The motel was very nice- as good as the best place we've ever stayed. Would recommended it to anyone.
