Just an OK stay

This was my first time staying in a Radisson and it was just an average stay. The lobby was nice and up to date, the room not so much and the bathroom was lost in time. I was on the sixth floor and I could hear everytime someone flushed a toilet or took a shower. Really noisy.

Sore back and a sore neck! JUNK THE BEDS! Keep looking for a hotel in Duluth!

Please stop promoting that you will have a good night's sleep on a sleep number bed! We reserved 3 rooms and all the beds DID NOT work. The pillows are no better than a pile of clothes bound up! The comforters are stained and the rooms are very small. They had so many events going on that we had to park on the city streets. The only thing I can say good was the restaurant had a great breakfast and we saw a wonderful light display at Bentleyville. SLEEP NUMBER BEDS ARE AWESOME, we have one at home and your beds should be tossed out in the trash! P.S. Parents of large groups-- Please control your children as we also have paid to use the elevator and enjoy a nice time!

Great location, lacked comfort

We stayed here for our anniversary and as a starting point for our trip up the North Shore. Our first impression of the hotel was good - friendly staff, beautiful front desk area. For the price we paid for the room we were expecting something much nicer, but it was pretty average. The sleep number beds sounded great when we booked the room, but they were very uncomfortable. We had a decent view. There was a wedding there that evening and parking was impossible. After driving around the parking lot for 10 minutes, we checked with the front desk and they gave us a parking pass for a property nearby. We wished they would have mentioned this possibility when we checked in. All in all, it was an ok place to stay but we were expecting something a little nicer given the high weekend rate that we paid for our anniversary getaway.

good place to be

We enjoyed our stay this weekend in Duluth. We were able to travel with our 2 dogs. the rooftop dining was terrific, having enjoyed 2 breakfasts and one great dinner as the city of Duluth floated by, revolving full circle every 72 minutes. Our only problem were the beds. My husband"s deflated as he slept. Mine, I couldn't get quite right. We had asked for a king or queen but with our late reservation there was only one option; 2 doubles. They made up for it at the desk the next morning with a lovely offer to return.Loved the pool and sauna. The location is terrific for doing everything...even walking distance to some attractions. All in all a very good time.

Pretty good place

Stayed in a lakeview room and got to watch a couple of ships go under the lift bridge, so that was cool. Room was very clean. Sleep number beds, just like I have at home. Don't think I've ever slept better in a hotel bed. Staff very friendly, and willing to give advice on restaurants and attractions around town. Room did not have a mini-fridge, which would have been nice, but we got by fine. Within walking distance of Canal Park. Would stay there again!

Money-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

If you plan on going to the aquarium, you can save $5 (parking) by walking. Also, the lots in canal park are pay lots.

Love that it is dog friendly!

This is an older hotel, as a matter of fact, I remember staying in this same hotel when I was very young with my family - and now I'm staying here 20 yrs later! So obviously it's not going to have all up-to-date electrical and plumbing - and wall insulation. I could hear every little movement and water running in the rooms next to me. But it was convienent that this hotel was dog-frienly and was in a good location downtown to where I needed to be. At $25/night for him, that isn't bad... Wish I would have had time to check out the revolving restaurant on the top level though! I would definately stay here again.

30th wedding anniversary

we stayed at that hotel 30yrs ago so we thought we would do it again, it was so nice back then. We were meeting my cousin & husband there it was there 20th anniversary. They were offered a free upgrade with a gorgeous view, and to join the free club membership. We were not offered anything and we paid $20 more for our view of the top of bldgs, and a barely a piece of the harbor. Last yr at this time my husband was in a coma on our anniversary, he is waiting for a kidney transplant so we were hoping it would be special, the room was ok, hated the sleep number bed though, We have had better rooms for same or less before. The rooftop restaurant was the best type! K & J
