Located one mile from Spirit Mountain and 6 minutes from downtown Duluth Canal park on I-35, Duluth Spirit Mountain Inn features deluxe breakfast with waffles and cappuccino, a large indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, guest laundry, sun deck, and free high speed internet. An ATM, and convenience store are adjacent to the hotel. All rooms offer curved shower rods, log classic furniture, coffee/tea maker, HBO-Cable TV, hair dryer, AM/FM alarm clock, new Restonic deluxe beds, Registry pillows, and electronic security safes $1.90 fee. Queen, King, Poolside, Pool view, Patio, Balcony & Jacuzzi Rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. Guest amenities include a kids arcade, winter plug-ins, ski wax room, a meeting room with seating for up to 85 people, lobby computer, and complimentary newspapers. This is a non smoking inn with no elevator and does not allow pets. GUEST MUST BE 21YRS OLD TO CHECK IN.

A great get-away to our hometown.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The jacuzzi was very relaxing and the breakfast was super. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location of the hotel was a plus; not far from all the sights.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Canal Park was very enjoyable. There was a great book in our room with a map of Duluth and a good explanation of things to do in the area.

The staff get 5 stars, the hotel gets 3

The hotel was clean and adequate for an overnight stay. The staff was fantastic--they are the only reason I'd probably go back. The room was on the smallish size and noisy. We could hear the folks above us walking around and the folk in the hallway talking. Luckily we had several family outings to get us out of the building. The pool area was clean and well-maintained but the game room only had a couple of games in good working order.

Steelhead weekend

We were looking for cheap accomidations for a fishing weekend. The building is dated, it has been freshened up but all on the surface. Such as fresh paint over rotten wood in the pool area. The room was reasonably clean and freshened up. The hot and cold water at the vanity sink were hooked up backwards but we got used to it quickly. If price is your primary objective, this is your place.

Perfect Vacation

From a wonderful staff to a fabulous breakfast complete with waffles, this was a perfect vacation spot. The hotel view was lovely, and the hot tub felt wonderful at the end of a long day. I would definitely visit here again!

Good place for price and if skiing at Spirit Mountain.

Weekend Getaway

Great location right next to the interstate. Pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were clean and covient. There was a health issue, which the front desk was able direct me with maps to the equipment to treat his painful back.

Family getaway

The hotel definitely needs some updates. The pool area and hallways are very cold and drafty. Continental breakfast has a lot to be desired. You definitely get what you pay for and that's not saying much.

Great Value

This is a budget motel that packs a punch with great breakfast, amenities, and service. Definitely would stay here again.

Fantastic just getaway

It was wonderful, my room was upgraded at no cost to me, the staff was very helpful, the continental breakfast was delightful and filling. I would stay here again and recommed this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to just relax. It was easy to find and I don't venture out much.

Not Worth the Price

We couldn't use the A/C / Heater because of the noise it made - totally unacceptable! The room stunk from the pool chlorine. The towels were third world quality. The sink was in the room so if one person got up both had to. The "Breakfast" consisted of 3 waffle machines (one broken), no eggs or meat, and dry cereal or bagels, with watery orange "juice". The most expensive hotel we had on this vacation and by far the worst.
