We stayed overnight on a trip through Duluth. Easy to get on and off the highway. Just a short drive to Canal Park area and restaurants. Looks better from the inside than out. Parking can be tight on the back side.
The room was small. Heater was very noisy. Carpet was dirty. Parking lot right outside window. Bathroom was very small. On the upside the staff was pleasant. For the price it is a ripoff. We will never stay there again.
We had 2 rooms; one with a king for us and 2 queens for the girls. Stayed only one night. Very spacious rooms; very clean. Front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast was ok; but then this is not the Ritz!
Quite a bit cheaper than anything else
and this much better than its star rating.
This Hotel is easily the best bargain in Duluth! It has a fantastic location, close to everything yet just far enough away to be peacefull and avaoid traffic. Great staff and service. The room was spotless and very up to date. I will stay here
again on My next trip. Thanks to the staff and crew!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Avoid the large chin restaurants at all cost! Instead go to the local smaller shops and get better service and more value! You get a better feel for a city if You go where the locals do instead of the places that are purposely set up to take the tourists dollars!
The hotel staff were very gracious and helpful. The breakfast area was nice as it allowed the six of us to gather. It was a pleasant surprise that the juice and hot chocolate were available.
One of our beds was missing a sheet and the pillows
were not that comfortable. However, overall, it was a pleasant stay.
The best part of our stay was the comfort of the bed! My husband raved about how well he slept on the mattress! We meant to check the label but forgot. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was good for us! The small frig was a nice
plus. One suggestion: keep the breakfast open 30 min. Longer.
