The parking lot is small but near a gas station with a car wash. I cannot say a lot about the amenities as I really wasn't at the hotel a lot, just to sleep. However, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. One complaint I did voice to the staff upon check out was the lack of lighting at the back door and the fact that you have to buzz in after midnight (unless they decide 11:06 PM is close enough to midnight). The back door is locked at 11 PM and the lobby door is locked at 12 Midnight; you have to use the telephone located in the foyer to ask to be let in. This is unsafe and inconvenient.

This hotel was twice as nice for approximately half the price of the hotel we used the privious night in Miles City, Mt.

Overall we had a very nice experience at the hotel, The room was clean and comfortable. The price was very nice due to booking online. The front desk person (owner) was very personable and seemed to really care about her business. The continential breakfast was good. Overall I would gladly recommend this hotel. Just be sure to book on line, Huge price difference if you call in person.

i stayed in this hotel for 3 days. The bathroom tile floor was filthy and I when I first walked on it and looked at it I was disgusted. I wore socks on my feet due to the dirt. For two days I asked for a 7:00am wake up call and never got it either day. The walls and ceiling are so thin that being in the lower level room I could hear every word spoke from above!, not to mention that I was kept awake for most of the night from every footstep and creek across my entire room. Very annoying. Then the first day I was at meetings, I placed the "do not disturb" sign on the room because I did not need service. The second day I did need clean towels, more coffee, beds made etc, and therefore did not put the "do not disturb sign" on the door. However, and interestingly when I returned to the room that evening, I had no coffee, no microwave plate in microwave to use it, the microwave was dirty inside, bathroom floor was still dirty, I had clean towels but the shower still had my long hair in it (it had obviously not been touched or even wiped out) and my bed was not made. When I went down to the office to ask why the room had not been cleaned and bed not made, and nor did I have any coffee and I was only given some clean towels, the office personnel informed me that the person who was suppose to clean the room made a note I was still in the bed. Of course I wasn't. I informed the office that she certainly left towels and had i been in bed she would not have done that. I assume she was a lazy maid and decided I would not be staying there again. I have to be there again next week and will nto be staying there. The service is awful.

Stopped in Detroit Lakes on day four of a Minnesota road trip. This motel was the best of the week and did not cost any more than the rest. Nice clean room, good breakfast and friendly staff. A winner.

We arrived about 8pm. After a busy Sat. afternoon with lots of relatives it was great to lay back and relax. After a great nights sleep we had a waffle, juice and coffee, exactly what we needed to get a good start on a new day. We had read that a lot of trains went by but we never heard one!!
