Americinn Brooklyn Center

The front desk personel were not very enthusiastic about being there and one didnt really know what they were doing. The bed was very uncomfortable you could feel the springs and I dont not believe the blankets were washed prior to us coming there and do not believe the bed was made the rough middle blanket was down at the bottom of the bed defore we even got into it! The walls are not as sound proof as they are advertised because the people staying in the room next to us were having a 30 person party all night long and even had people knocking on our door 2 different times during the night because they were so drink they forgot which room they were going to. They were shouting and screaming to the music keeping us up ALL night long. Wasnt quiet until 4:15 A.M.. I just figured that since there was a security guard on site that she would be walking up and down the halls seeing as there was such "excitement" that went on at 12:05 A.M. the fire alarm went off. We just assumed that she would be keeping an eye out and ear open with all that. So needless to say that stay was the worst hotel/motel stay we have ever had and we have stayed in many. My husband says that from now on we will not be staying in any hotels/motels unless we have already stayed there because it was not worth all the hassle. When I turned in my room keys the front desk girl didnt seem to care about the comment card I gave her and told her personally how unhappy we were. Also never got a print out of the reciept so I dont even know how much we were charged. We would like our money back, and would like for someone to atleast try to contact us so we know that what we have had to say about our stay was heard.

Breakfast was great, lots to choose from. However our room didnt have a roll for the toliet paper to hang on. It did have a coffe maker but no pot or place to put a fliter. The deal we booked was supposed to be a king bed or two queens and we got a room with two full beds.

I would not recommend the americinn in brooklyn center. For starters we had booked a double room since there would be 4 of us in this room and when we got there they told us that they had upgraded our room what a joke. They gave us a king room with a couch if thats what you want to call it more like a 1950's era something. The room still had decorations from some one before taped all over the wall. We also asked for extra blankets and towels but they didnt have any extra bedding. What kind of hotel doesnt have extra bedding does this mean that they dont change them or what? [...] The staff acts like they are better than you and talk down to you which is just rediculous.

Needed hotel for 2 nights while making stop in Minneapolis. Hotel was good price for what we were looking for. Clean room, indoor pool and breakfast. Only negative comment I have is if you didn't come down for breakfast when started then probably wouldn't get to eat. They ran out by 845 Sunday and said they weren't replenishing except getting more milk so we didn't eat either morning.

Never stayed in a hotel that didn't have a phone in the room. We went down to the pool to swim and had to go to the front desk to get towels. They gave the kids three hand towels. Our room had ants. The only good thing was the breakfast in the morning.

Great staff, nice quite room. Room was in need some maintenance to fix fixture on tub.

The room was clean but dark and depressing. The beds were pretty comfortable and the kids had a great time playing in the pool, which was very clean and warm..(pool area was kept nice and warm and it was freezing outside). The ice machice on our floor was broken but we were able to get ice on another floor. The staff was pleasant but didnt have many ideas for finding food close-by so we had to go through the brochures in the lobby, which is ridiculous because the menu appearance and how the food really is are always two different stories. We ordered from Angelinos and the food was horrible...overpriced...and the people on the phone were rude and pissy because they were busy...duh! Check out was a piece of cake and all in all, our visit was very nice. The only complaint was the rooms were so dark and dreary.

I love the place I'm in Minneapolis once a month and always stay at Americaninn, best place for the price only thing lacking is a fridge and maybe a microwave in the rooms but they do provide one at the end of the hall. Rooms are always clean and staff friendly. Also love that restaurants are within 5 min driving distance. Also they offer delicious breakfast.

We were visiting family in the Coon Rapids area. This was a good place to overnight. Rooms were clean, breakfast good. Elevator worked well. A bit noisy over the weekend with loud talking and teens running in halls. After several calls and requests for quiet ..finally was quiet after 3am.

The room was clean, comfortable bed, good shower .hallways were quite noisy with teens and young 20s running and yelling until 2am. Need a curfew to stop this. Parents certainly didn't. Breakfast was good with many options, but no sausage as promised. Soap in the room has a rancid odor. Next time I bring my own. Purchased on line with [...]. did not have option to ask for connecting rooms or rooms near each other. Hotel does have elevator for ease of elderly and small children.I was told I should have called the hotel to request that our 3 rooms were near each other.Next time I will do this.
