Americas Best Value Inn

Considering the price i paid, I thought the service was okay. The room was also clean and well maintained.

Easy to fnd if you are traveling on Alternet MN 371. Rooms were clean and the lobby was well kept. The Breakfast was a little sparse.

The hotel was not as it appears in the pictures listed on the site. The hotel is older and the room definitely needed some updating. The bathroom also had multiple stains on the tile and in the tub; however, overall the room was fairly clean. Also, there is no one at the front desk, no matter what time of day. There was a number posted at the front desk [in order to contact a staff person], and both times we called we felt like were waking that staff member up. This hotel is fine if you just need a cheap place to sleep at night, but not if you are planning to spend any time at the hotel or in room during the day.

The staff was very accommodating. My husband needed some handicapped accessories and they were able to accommodate us with a king bed, which we wanted but didn't think was available, and brought in a stool for the shower to help him. Everything was in order and the bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and the air conditiioning worked great. The only negative thing was at breakfast the waffle maker was not working. The hotel was easy to access from the highway--right off the road. Great value for the money, and they let pets stay.

The location of this hotel was ideal and away from the city which one can sleep comfortably in a country setting. The room which was assigned as a non smoking room had been smoked in with obvious burn marks on the tub and nicotine stains on shower walls. The luggage, when departing, had an odor common with cigarette smell. The Continental Breakfast was not impressive. The weekend was ok, but when the weekdays arrived there was no waffle mix and lacking in fruit. (bannanas and apples only) I would recommend paying a bit more and finding a more popular hotel/motel.

The place was hard to find [...]. I finally found the address in Brainerd. Also, it did not come up on my GPS when I plugged in "lodging".

Nothing to write home about here, a good room at a good price. Room was clean and quiet, staff was Minnesota nice. :) There are better hotels and resorts in town for families but if you are just looking for a cheap place to sleep, this is it.

This hotel is not for someone who doesnt like not being in the city, there is harldy anything around unless you want to drive for 10-15 minutes to get somewhere, there is not much to do for entertainment in this area either. The hotel was an older hotel and there is not much security at the hotel. Bed was very uncomfortable, room smelt old, and smoking rooms are right next to non-smoking rooms so its not really a non-smoking room then. One good thing though... the room was a pretty good size so thats a plus. I guess you get what you pay for.

This hotel was just what I was looking for. It was very quiet, clean and cozy. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative comments I have, was my bath drain stopper didn't work and the furniture in the lobby could have used a little work. The location was great, on the outskirts of town. Very pretty setting.
