Super 8 Bloomington/Airport

we enjoyed this place NICE AND CLOSE TO mALL America and resturants.

Good location, clean, friendly staff. Good stay for a good price.

I STAYED AT THIS HOTEL BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT AND HAD PARKING AND A SHUTTLE SERIVICE TO/FROM THE AIRPORT AVAILABLE. THE HOTEL DOES CHARGE AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO LEAVE YOUR CAR PARKED THERE AND I WAS TOLD UPON ARRIVAL THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO BE ALLOWED TO USE THEIR PARKING EVEN IF I PAID THE PARKING FEE DUE TO THE FACT THAT I HAD BOOKED MY ROOM "THROUGH A THIRD PARTY". WHEN I REQUESTED TO SPEAK TO MANAGEMENT, ALLOWANCE WAS MADE "THIS ONE TIME". STAFF HOWEVER, WAS COURTIOUS AND HELPFUL. THE SHUTTLE THE HOTEL PROVIDED TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT WAS WELL ORGANIZED AND PUNCTUAL. HOTEL ROOM ITSELF WAS VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE- A BIT OUTDATED IN DECOR. THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE ALTHOUGH THE BEDDING WAS SOMEWHAT WORN. THE ROOM WAS EXTREMELY QUIET CONSIDERING WE WERE SO NEAR THE AIRPORT. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN-ALTHOUGH I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BOOK THE ROOM THROUGH ORBTIZ AND BE ABLE TO PARK MY CAR THERE FOR ANY FUTURE TRIPS WHICH IS ONE OF THE MAIN CRITERIA IN MY CHOOSING A HOTEL IN THAT AREA.

If anything, watching a few episodes of "Hotel Impossible" and "Hells Hotels" has educated me enough to know where to look before I spend more than a few minuets in a hotel rm. Such was the case with my first rm (105) at the Super 8 in Bloomington MN. The first thing that struck me was the overpowering mold smell. The next thing came to the bed. Now anyone staying at a hotel who finds their bed covered in oneof those dated heavy bed spreads would be well advised to quickly remove it as they are rarely if ever cleaned between guest stays. So, remove it I did, only to discover on the poo colored blanket what appeared to be the remains of someones adventures of short and curly hair removal. We're talking about enough hair to cover a bald blimp! Fortunately, the staff person who I got to smell and view what I had been exposed to quickly and kindly took care of me, placing me in a much nicer and cleaner room which we both checked out first. Considering that I was there for a week, her customer friendly attitude and actions saved the day. In fact, all of the staff I met were great. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, but that was my only other negative about the place. It is an older hotel-and after the living conditions I've dealt with before in places like Iraq-this wasn't too bad. At least the spiders were'nt as big...

We spent 3 nights at this hotel, no negative experience. Location is good - close to Mall of America. Staff was helpful, room pretty clean.

Location was good. But the bed was uncomfortable and sheets were itchy (Bedbugs?). But room and bathroom was generally clean.

I had made to differant reservations for this same Hotel, the 2nd went to Bloomington, IN, when I noticed it and tried to switch it back to Minn. the Web site told me sorry charlie, after a long talk they did let me switch reservations if i made a reservation in Minn with in 24 hours, I did and all was fine. When I informed the Hotel when I got there they had heard of this many times and I was he only on they actuall heard of that got to switch, This is wrong, and I still think the computer made the mistrake and not me since I was already in the correct site because I had just made a good reservation. Hotel Great, Web reserations poor.

Location made it easy to get to EVERY place. It was quiet and clean and the staff was wonderfully friendly without being overly so. It didn't have a pool, but I didn't want that anyway. I would stay here again and refer friends and family to do the same.

staff was friendly, Rooms was cleaned. Very nice for being a cheap stay.

WE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL, SO THAT WE CAN BE NEAR TO THE MALL. GREAT EXPERIENCE. GOOD BREAKFAST, BUT CAN BE BETTER. STAFF WAS EXCELLENT.
