The hotel was good enough for the price, i.e. clean, quiet, and comfortable. An airport shuttle service is quite useful.

Real Orange Juice!
Rooms, staff, and cleaning were fine. Breakfast was a little sparse, only fruit offered were oranges, only one kind of muffin, a few kinds of cereal, and a waffle maker. But the orange juice was real and for once NOT watered down like most motels! Internet connection was a little slow (overused) but that is typical too.

Decent location, great value.
This hotel is located about 10 minutes from the Mall of America, and, for the price, it seemed to be a good bet. I got there, and the front desk staff was nowhere to be found. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the guy finally showed up and gave me my room keys. The room was pretty average. Nothing really stood out about it at all. The bed was SUPER stiff, and ended up leaving my girlfriend and I with backaches all weekend. The doors to the outside are supposed to lock, but the locks have been removed and anyone can waltz in whenever they want. Breakfast consists of rather bland tasting mini-muffins and juice or milk. If you want to be frugal, stay the night here. If you want comfort, look elsewhere.

NOT NEAR STANDARD EXPECTED
My wife and I flew into Minneapolis very late in the night due to flight late arrival. We got to the hotel and were checked into room 153. The bed cover was full of wrinkles, so also were the bedsheets and pillow cases. It was either that the beddings were not changed after use by the last occupant or they were just taken out of the laundry machine and layed on the bed without any ironing. We returned to the front desk and requested a change of room. The attendant insisted that unkept or wrinkled beddings cannot constitute a good reason to change the room. We asked that he called someone from the house-keeping unit of the hotel to check the room, but he said that that office was closed for the night and that we had a choice of finding another hotel to stay. We could not do that because we had pre-paid for a room and it was about midnight and too late to search for another hotel. Also because the two-day event we came for in Minneapolis could not allow us enough time to look for another hotel the next day, we had to stay in that hotel. However we will never patronize it again or recommend it to anyone.

Days Inn Bloomington, MN
Nice hotel, quaint and affordable. Good loocation for where I needed to be while visiting Minneapolis. Room was fine, we did have a sink back up and the bathroom lights burned out, but the staff quickly fixed things. I'd stay there again without question.

Cleanliness an issue
We chose this motel based on reviews read online. No difficulty finding, not far from Mall of America and easy access to other major highways. We arrived around midnight, no problem with check-in. Rented two rooms with two queen beds; both rooms had hair between the sheets, assuming had been used without changing sheets. Too tired to request another couple rooms, went to front desk and asked for sheets. Staff provided me with sheets, but they did not fit the bed. Made do, but checked out that morning. Moldy in bathroom, stale smell in both rooms. You do get what you pay for.

Serious mold problems
I was visiting Minneapolis for the art museum, and to shop at the Mall of America. I chose Days Inn because it's inexpensive and convenient to nearly everything I wanted to visit. I'm used to traveling on a shoestring, so I thought this would do well enough. The location is easy to find, but the building looks very run down from the outside. The lobby is in extreme need of refurbishment, with dilapidated, shabby carpet and junk stored under the stairwell. I had to be moved twice because two bathrooms were so moldy that they were totally gross. The grouting is crumbling and fosters black mold. The staff is obviously trying to do the best they can with a poorly maintained property that is in desperate need of an update. The rooms are (aside from the mold) very clean. The furniture is in poor condition, and one of the chairs in my was literally falling apart. The bed linens are extremely clean but the mattresses are older, cheap, and very noisy.

Clean and comfortable
I was on a two day business trip to Minneapolis and needed a reasonably priced hotel. The Days Inn Bloomington was just that as well as clean and comfortable. Plus the free shuttle to/from the airport essentially paid, in what would have been Taxi fare, one nights stay.
