Saturday in Alex

The hotel was fine and well kept. Only negative is that there was a ballroom next door with a wedding going on. We heard the beat of the music until after midnight. If you stay on a Saturday night make sure you get an EVEN numbered room.

Nice hotel

The hotel was nice, clean and the room was very comfortable. They had a small convenience store/room in the lobby that was perfect for a few forgotten items. The only downside was the breakfast. The selection was okay, the eggs were dry and tasted weird and the waffle maker destroyed the waffles without a nonstick spray. We left for a brunch buffet next door.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

The Carlos Creek winery a few miles away had a fun event that weekend. It was a harvest festival with wine tasting, music and catapalt contests. It was great seeing them shoot off pumpkins, apples and water jugs!
