Disappointment due to power failure
Used as a base to visit relative. Booked for 3 nights but stayed two. Couldn't get a refund for the 3rd night and had no a/c or power all night the 2nd night in 90degree weather. Hoping to get a refund for that night. Not staff fault but HJ policy problem with cancellation charge of 100%. Will not stay at HJ again.

Very friendly
The Holiday Inn Express in Warren was a very nice facility. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. My only complaint was the smell of smoke in the hallway. It was not in our rooms but every time you entered the hallway it was very strong. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to stay. There were plenty of near by restaurants to choose from. Some within walking distance to others only a short drive down the road. The hotel provides a map for you. If you are going to a game it is a 15 minute drive to Comerica park and Ford Field.
