Good value

We came to the hotel and it was nice for its value. It was a last minute decision to get a room. The hotel would be better if it had a jacuzzi and continental breakfast. My only complaint is for them to put down salt and shovel the snow better.

Alright

We just needed a place to sleep, so it was fine for that. Strange thing that happened though was the key cards were not working in any room, so staff had to let us in. You would think that problem wouldn't last longer than 24 hours. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. I did read it was going to be undergoing renovations - which it badly needs. The hallways remind me of the movie The Shining.

dated but clean

The room was a little outdated, but clean. Carpet had some stains that should have been enough to cause them to replace it, but, that's probably why the room was a good value. would stay again.

Great stay for the price

The met hotel is a great place to stay for the price! The rooms are large and clean. Love this place! Almost every room on the second and third floor seem to have balconys. Even though it is close to the I-75 you don't hear a sound. Nice pool and sauna, only thing missing is a hot tub!

Motel feel in outdated hotel

Rooms are old and outdated. Every square inch of the bathroom is caulked. Vanity is old and stained. This 'hotel' might be a good value, but it should be advertised as a MOTEL, not a hotel.

MET Hotel Troy MI

Stayed at hotel to visit friends. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. During check in we asked if there was a restaurant and they stated yes but did not have a menu available but stated they have standard breakfast. Once we went downstairs for breakfast we found a continential breakfast of muffins with everything wrapped and packaged-not the truth of what was stated at check in. The desk also tried to charge an extra 5.00/day fee for parking, internet, pool and workout room. Even if you do not use these emenities they still try to charge you. On the weekends they rent out the downstairs that has an open design to all the rooms. We had screaming children and histerical laughter until 2am. Would not stay at this hotel again, customers are not their business.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a Red Robin, Starbucks, bagels and more and sushi eateries close by across the street and down a short walk.
