different

I always stay at the met but this time when I reserved a room I arrived at night and was given a room that hadn't been cleaned yet so I had to go back to the front desk which was an inconvenience because I was tired and had to be 're registered for another room

Excellent Business Trip

Excellent, and for the low low price - no other hotel could have come close!! I booked this hotel, last minute, for under 100 dollars. I had 2 business meetings in Troy, so the location was perfect for me as I was able to walk to the meetings. Very nice, clean, yet simple hotel. Great seafood restaurant inside. Also, and my favorite part - I travel a lot for work so love to get a workout. Got to the hotel around 7 and was able to swim some laps in the INCREDIBLE indoor pool. Great stay.

Family visit

This hotel was chosen because of proximity to family. It was clean and quiet. It appears under-utilized. The parking areas are poorly lit, with the half of the parking closest to the entrance un-lit. Most of the parking around the back of the hotel, where we were told to park, was completely unlit. The light poles were there, just not turned on. My daughter's felt unsafe, and I felt it was awkward. Doesn't seem like a good place to economize to me. Make sure to bring a flashlight if you choose to stay here.

Price is right

Good location right off expressway. Downtown hotels to expensive, went to Tiger games and its a short 15 minute drive to the park. We had a few requests when we got there and they were more than happy to help us.

Average Hotel

This is the former Hilton and it's pretty much the same. The only big issues I had were there was no coffee maker in the room and the old tube-type TV had a non-working remote control and channels were all mislabeled.
